Taking a dip in the pool, this fresh mermaid is another interesting blend of stats. While it has great HP and Special Attack, it has low Defenses and Speed, so you'll do well against the various Special attacks being thrown your way... when they're not super effective and then respond with your own hard hitting STAB and Ice attacks. Water Gun is an alright move to have early on, but it just won't cut it, so you'll need a replacement and fast. Thankfully, you'll be given one, the hardest thing is getting a Water Stone, really. In any case, getting a complimentary Ice move before you learn Aurora Beam probably won't happen, so until then, you've got, uh, Bite? That's really about it. There's plenty of physical moves to learn, but not with that Attack stat, so going purely Special will be tough, but doable.
