The almost symmetrical Pokemon isn't actually too bad. It's a somewhat speedy mixed attacker and actually has the moves to back that up. It can use both of its STABs pretty effectively and can learn a fair few moves to supplement its type coverage. While you will be waiting a while before you replace Confusion, it's just enough to last you until the better moves. You even get Crunch for sticking with it for so long. On the physical side, you get Stomp right away and then you can replace it with a number of other Normal moves. You can even add in Shadow Ball and eventually Earthquake. It is a bit frail, but its typing works alright for it, being immune to Ghost and less weak to Fighting. If this thing had an evolution, it would be perfect to use for the rest of the game, but it will start to fall behind lategame. Still, it works just fine until then.
