The temper tantrum of the sea is a terrifying force, with a beastly Attack stat and the potential to live an Electric attack with its surprising special bulk. Since it has twice the Attack it does Special Attack, Normal moves are absolutely the way to go. Which is good, since the only physical moves it can learn are Normal moves. They pack an absolute wallop, but if order to hit other types and that, you need the Water and Ice moves you can learn, as well as Dragonbreath. It's not as amazing as it could be, but it still hurts a lot and it'll only get better as the games go on. So be grateful it can't annihilate you right now, especially with that alright Speed stat and not too amazing Defense stat. Cover it in rocks and don't look back!
