The Inspector units seem to have withdrawn to Hawaii - evidently they're unwilling to proceed without more support. That leaves Lefina feeling secure enough to set a course back to Izu. Excellen wonders what Ratsel was doing out here; Sean has an inkling, but doesn't want to spoil the surprise (and thinks there might be more serious reasons to remain tight-lipped, as well.)
Katina: "Anyway, what's this 'shadow' that Shu Shirakawa was talking about?"
Tasuku: "Lieutenant, look down."
Katina: "...Down?"
Tasuku: "Pick up your feet. See? Shadows!"
Tasuku: "Ow!"
Katina: "I'm being serious here!"
Sean: "Well, setting comedy aside... it is something that concerns me."
Excellen: "You have a guess, XO?"

Masaki: "Maybe, it's to do with that teleporting mech, or the fake Sanger. And maybe that Axel Almer guy."
Excellen: "I see what you're getting at. It's like a shadow... behind the Neue DCs?"
Masaki: "Yeah. Something's suspicious about them."
Katina: "So what about the 'underfoot' part?"
Masaki: "Not a clue."
Katina: "Hey, don't leave the job half finished."
Tasuku: "...Maybe he was talking about a spy."
Katina: "Spy? Where?"
Tasuku: "Well, if it's underfoot... they might be real close by."
Lefina: "Eh...?"
