The gimmick proverb bird is still a gimmick. It got a little boost with its Stick hold item that when combined with Dire Hit and Slash will crit 50% of the time, but that's really the most notable thing about this birb. Until you get to Slash at level 37, you have Peck and Fury Attack to work with, which is terrible. Technically Fly is the best Flying STAB you can learn, but it evens out as the same power of Peck, so you'll be relying on Normal STAB. Its stats aren't bad exactly, but they're all pretty mediocre, makes it physically frail and even with all the boosts you can get with Swords Dance and Steel Wing and Slash, it's just not too impressive. Still, it's at least usable and that's the best recommendation a gimmick Pokemon can get!
