Now with an Ice type and some actual STAB, Dewgong is still pretty ehhhhhhh. It's an alright wall despite being weak to Grass and Electric... and Rock and Fighting, but it can definitely take some hits and use Rest and Sleep Talk to use its STABs to deal some good damage. Not amazing damage, since its attacking stats are a bit mediocre, but its STABs are so good that it doesn't even matter. Aurora Beam will do you fine and learning Ice Beam in a game where it's hard to obtain is always nice. But you need to stick Surf on it, as you're not getting Water moves otherwise. And while you might have some Normal moves to go with your moveset, it probably won't do as much as you'd like.
