Far East Base
Ryusei and Rai are in the briefing room, waiting for Aya and Viletta to arrive. Neither one of them has seen Aya since they got back to Izu. Rai heard she was helping wrap up the R-GUN Powered's final adjustments; they should be finished within the next day or so.
Ryusei: "I guess that means they're gonna tell us about the Hyper Titanic Blasting Cannon at the briefing, huh?"
Rai: "Hyper... what?"
Ryusei: "Hyper Titanic Blasting Cannon. I figured we could call it that instead of HTB Cannon."
Rai: "...Can we do something about your naming sense?"
Ryusei: "Well, what would you call it?"
Ryusei: "My bad, forget I asked."
Aya enters alone; Viletta's still in the lab, and she's come to bring them both down there. Ryusei asks what's going on, but before Aya can respond...
Ryusei: "W-What the---"
Rai: "The siren? But this is for a full alert!"
Tetsuya: "Emergency! Multiple Einst are warping in at the Far East Base! All hands to battle stations! All pilots, scramble!"
Ryusei: "Einst!?
Rai: "They're trying to wipe out the base!"
Ryusei: "We can wonder about this later! We've gotta go help!"
Aya: "Wait, we're---"
Ryusei: "Come on! We can't form SRX without you!"
Aya: "...! You're right. Let's go!"
Mission 32: The Uninvited (Part 2)
Unexpectedly, we have too many people despite part of the team being away. I needed to pick two to bench, which ended up being Radha and Russell for this mission.
Katina snarls that the Einst are like cockroaches - no matter how many you stomp, they just keep crawling out of their holes. Kusuha worries that they're here for the Ryu-Ko-Oh, but Bullet looks at their numbers and judges differently - they're trying to wipe out the base in its entirety.
Operator: "Gravitational anomaly in Sector 9!"
Sakae: "What!?"
Operator: "It's a new type of Einst!"
The crew does a collective double-take at the sight of the Einst Eisen, but there's no time to speculate. Laker requests support from the bases at Hyakuri and Komatsu, but they're currently under attack by the Einst as well; this is a coordinated effort to keep the Far East Base cut off. Seeing that the Hagane is on its own, Daitetsu orders the pilots to intercept.
Ryoto's bringing the AM Boxer out for its first sortie, and everything's looking good there. Likewise, Aya reports no trouble as the R-3 launches for its first mission in a while; she's ready to show Ryusei and Rai that she hasn't been slacking off during her time on the base.
Inwardly she thinks that she has to carry the load - Mai's still doing simulations, and isn't ready for live combat. Resolved, she tells her teammates to be ready for R-Formation.
Kai yells for all units to engage, and the battle begins.
