Let's continue through this ridiculous castle.

It's pretty clear that you can't go back. This is something I wish more point and click games would do, stop you wasting time in places you don't need to explore. Let's check out that skeleton there.

So the skull is covered in red markings and is smooth, but the rest of it seems to be made of really jagged bone. It doesn't fit.

We'll try and find it's correct place. On the floor is a device.

A puzzle, but we have no ideas for a solution yet. Also, is that second from the left one just a power icon turned sideways? let's look for clues.

Ah, so by shifting the point of view back you can get the complete idea from the holes in the device. Triangle, F, something, squiggle.

The something is the power button.

Still missing something, but that's part of it done. Now to check out the other skeleton.

Was this really supposed to be a puzzle? I mean come on. Let's go left and see the...

...er, alien crucifying the Vesuvian xenomorph with a bunch of dudes chained at its feet? There is an alter in front of him too.

Unusual? I guess nobody drives stick in the underworld.

It is easier for a thousand crows to fly through a fiery mountain than it is for you to pass safely through my entrails, wretched human. My gates are shut to the sinful for eternity. Begone!

Bit of a twisted take on the bible there. Off to the right we go.

Rat in a cage, and a pit, and a wall of skulls and faces.

I didn't expect to meet again. How did you manage to escape? I may be asking too much, but if you can help me get out of here, I can give you something to make your escape from this castle easier. There is a lever behind me, you should be able to lower my cage with it. It's impossible to get near it at the moment because of the creature lurking in the pit nearby. You have to get rid of that abomination first. I believe a good way to go about it would be to feed it poisoned food. Somewhere in the castle there should be a kitchen. Only then can you lower my cage. Think about it, I assure you it will be worth your while

Also there is a lever on the floor.

Trying to free him now summons the Shai Hulud. Let's go back to the skeleton room and make use of that lever.

It causes a device to close around the runed skeleton

And summons a ghost or something.

This damned place has taken everything I ever had from me, my memories, my body, all gone... All that remains is a sense of overwhelming guilt. What have I done to deserve such a miserable fate. i remember a flying machine, a cold cell, and sculpted hands... I managed to escape, I wandered around the castle. And then there was only pain, never ending pain... They must have finally got me. I am beyond help, but I have something that may help you. Please, take this key. It was not easy to get, but it is of no use to me anymore.

Wonder where this goes?

No kidding...

It opens up the...thing's chest, and now we get this puzzle here.

You have to connect the pink and green lines from the outside to the inside. There is only one solution.

After solving it, the creature descends, and this is behind it.

It looks sinister, but I think they are just cuddling. There is also a little chipped disc front and centre, so we'll get that too.

Moving the disc lets us go through to the next area.

Obvious evil jester, pet... dog? and an empty throne.

This guy seems legit.

Oh look, a keyblade!

In the dog bowl there is a glowing green object. We can't take it yet though.

Guard, spider door, and the lady we're supposed to be killing. The guard seems to have similar marking to the skull we used in the puzzle before.

His limbs are filled with poison. Its tiniest drop would end your miserable exissstance in the blink of an eye. With thissss substance I create poisoned blades and arrows for the casssstle. The mechanism responsible for maintaining the right conditions in the room has been broken. The poison flowing down through the spiders legs into a grate has stopped being pumped into the pipes. The flow of poison is only possible with the door securely locked. The device in need to repair is down in the castle sewers, but the entry is flooded.

Dang, we need poison and it looks like it's several puzzles away at least. I head back to the throne room and then through to the other side.

I see you

I'll try to sneak down the stairs without soiling myself.

Unsuccessfully. Let's head left then.

Another guard. This one has a chain around his neck with a hand on it though.

Sso, you sssay you have to get into this room here? What for? All you will find is an old broken furnace. Well, I could let you in, but there'ssss nothing for free. If you want to get in, i have a favour to assssk of you.

Free shovel. Like seriously, is this supposed to be a puzzle?

Very elaborate lock mechanism to a furnace.

You have to spin the discs to make the full picture.

And done, nice.
