So, today we're going to be dealing with getting to that Warez node ASAP. Our current units are a bit outmatched at this point, so we need some new ones.

Until then, we're going to need to play things reasonably smart. This may not be my strong point, so you might expect things to go horribly wrong.

Fortunately, even against a bunch of upgraded Sentinels I have something of a plan. We'll use the Clog to immobilise one to create a defensive wall. From there, we can take potshots with our Slingshots. Slow, but effective.

Unfortunately, the two turns it takes to immobilise the first one is enough for a second Sentinel to come around and take out the Clog.

This happens more times than it probably should have done, so I change tactics a bit.

Swap out one Slingshot for a Bitman, and we can funnel things easier.

Namely, if we start by taking out ths tile to the left then the top Sentinel will retaliate by dealing 2 damage but we'll be untouchable after that.

Units cannot move through other units, so this works remarkably well. The 3 on the left are all penned in at this point, but we want to be careful here. If we attack the one on the right again, that will create a gap for the one up top to slip through in.

So we use the Clog to immobilise that one as well. And since the AI is dumb enough to trap its own units, the Slingshot was able to take out one Sentinel already.

With 2 that are unable to move, and one that will be very shortly thereafter, the rest of the fight was simple.

Not the best indication that things are getting trickier, but a good one that I need to think a bit more than I had to previously. Then again, the hardest fight before now was against a bunch of dogs so it's not a high bar just yet.

Also this kid gets in our face after the first map.

I guess that's way beneath your radar. Some hacker screwed around with their systems and now they're all buggy. I'll send you the data right away. I know I've got it around here somewhere. Hang on a sec... Got it! I'm uploading the node on to your netmap now. Kewl talkin to you. CUL8R.

That's over here, behind one of the 2 nodes we just opened up. We won't be dealing with that one just yet though.

Instead, we'll be heading over here to gain access to more supplies.

And, of course, this map is super easy. Unlike before where things were at least difficult to put in practice, this one is just plain obvious. The Watchman X can still only move 1 space at a time. We can only bring 2 units, but I'd be stupid to not make one of them a Clog. The other's the Bug so I can run rings around these wastes of time.

From the very first turn, my Clog's all but invincible already. The Bug's the only one in mild danger if only because I might accidentally leave it in range of an attack.

I'm not so stupid as to not at least check first, though. It makes the enemy units almost pitiable when you see how helpless they are at times like this.

Very quickly, there's only one unit left able to move by sheer virtue of its own luck. It'll get to keep that for at least a little while.

Granted, that amounts to roughly one turn but its the thought that counts. At this point, there's no point to even keeping up the facade any more. The Bug's going to run rings around these guys, pick 'em off the same way their friends were (hit the back staying out of range then rush in and smack the head) and grab the extra money for good measure too.

What a wonderfully simple fight that I might just abuse for money grinding if it comes to that. Which it probably won't, but you never know.

Oh, and this lady bugs us again at this point. Sure.

He's a good kid. By the way, that node up there is Network City. And there are a couple more Warez nodes hidden out on the net. And while you're looking at software, don't just load up on attack programs. You should check out some meta programs like Medic and Turbo. There may come a time when you need to boost you hack to handle an enemy. Oops gotta go.

Let's finish up by briefly seeing what this particular store has. Each one has their own things, so the old store never gets new stock but it has all the old stuff we've already got.

This one's generally just straight up better, though. Some of these units require a bit smarter play to use well, and we can't quite afford everything yet so I pick up some I think will come in handy and we'll see how well that goes next time when, uh...

We'll be doing this one I guess? And maybe the random node that kid told us about?
