I finish up a challenge with a traveling merchant on the way to Boulder City.

THEN SUDDENLY I remember there's something to do in Primm.

You need to chase these NCR deserters who are squatting in the casino away. Oddly enough they only show up AFTER you get law in Primm and it's on the radio

Eventually the casino will open up now that I have chased them off.

Back on track. I like how signs are useful and tell us things.

That sign sends us on into Boulder City. On your travels you will encounter signs that, like this one, have had people paint things onto. This one is pro-NCR, there's some pro Legion ones around too.

Boulder City was the site of a major battle and has a cool monument because of it.

There isn't really a POINT to being in the saloon, exactly, but the bartender does sell a ton of Sarsaparilla.

(I get like, two star caps out of all those)

There is some stuff at the top of this building though!

A service rifle, an NCR Ranger hat, and a holodisk.

Anyway, we follow the compass pip and talk to the nearest NCR officer.

What's going on with the Great Khans?

One of my patrols was on its way back from Novac when it came under fire from the Great Khans. They radioed for reinforcements, but instead of waiting for us, they chased the Khans into the ruins where they were caught in a crossfire.

No deaths, but not all of the squad got out. The Khans have Private Ackerman and Private Gilbert as hostages.

These Great Khans might have something of mine ? a Platinum Chip.

Once the Great Khans have been killed or captured, you're welcome to retrieve any property they've taken from you.

I may be able to negotiate a deal with the Great Khans.

All right, I'm going to give you a chance to talk to the Great Khans. Their leader is a man named Jessup. If we hear shooting, we'll be coming in, but it'll probably be too late for you.
