Toggle Background Color


It's a mine. I tend to think that this level isn't very memorable, even though it's easy to recognize while you're playing it.

Set pieces include gems, conveyor belts with weird bumps and series of half- or quarter-pipes. Annoying to navigate, basically, when you include all those springs.


Fuck conveyor belt time travel.

BADNIKS

Kumo-kumo (spider)
It doesn't move along the ground, but will leap and fire a web onto the ground. Sonic will get stuck temporarily if he hits the web, but we didn't see that in the video. In its broken state, it can't go up as high and can't shoot a web.


Sasori (scorpion)
Rolls along the ground and shoots a laser from its back. Is slower and doesn't shoot when broken.


Kemusi (caterpillar)
Moves along the ground by compressing and expanding its body. The intact ones have spikes on their back and can only be hit on their head. Similar to the Sonic 1 enemy but they never break apart and don't undulate. Not listed in the manual.


Noro-noro (snail)
Moves along the ground, sometimes shows spikes if it's not broken.


BOSS: Eggman + Conveyor Belt

You're shunted into a small room with a conveyor belt, spikes behind you and Eggman in a piston in front of you. Jump to hit the piston and the fight will start, with the piston falling to the ground.

All you need to do is survive. Eggman will try to drop bombs on you while the conveyor belt tries to move you to the spikes behind. However, the belt's friction will also eat away at the underside of the piston until it's completely gone and Eggman has to run away in fear of burning/getting spiked/squashed/whatever. The more you keep running, the greater the friction; you can see this by the sparks that appear.

The boss's color does change depending on the future you got. Good is purple, bad is blue.
