Mini-update 6: Tier 5
Classes for Current Roster
& The Instruction Manual

--------------------------

Here's a quick update whilst I wrestle with those revenge-seekers. For starters let's go over who gets what secret tier 5 classes with our current lineup. I'll do it in the order they appeared in.

King, Royal Guard, Hero

He gets three secret classes total - only his Sage class misses out.
We've already seen the King class, which upgrades from General and just keeps doing what General was doing. It's a great way to top off what was already a defensive powerhouse. His Knight Master class can turn into a Royal Guard, which makes the most sense for an Imperial run but regardless, it throws in a lot more offense and will give him the best possible AT stat out of all his class combinations. Lastly, if he was a Sword Master, his secret class would be Hero which is a more balanced tier 5 class out of the three choices available.

Wizard

Poor Hein, he's our bestie yet the developers gave him the short end of the stick as his only choice for a tier 5 secret class is to go the pure mage route and end up as a Archmage who turns into a Wizard. More spells, more power and more range for spells. It's a great class for Hein and he will dominate most maps with his AoE and other utility spells. Still, I do fancy a High Priest Hein as the summons are really good.

Agent, Princess

Liana has two choices for secret classes and they are unsurprisingly on the holy path of her class tree. Sage will turn into Princess which will be great once I feed her some kills and get her there. More spells, more utility, more units as well I believe, so it's a great choice. Her other tier 5 is to go High Priest -> Agent which I believe is immune to magic though I may be remembering that incorrectly here, more spells and power again, it's great.

Royal Guard

Scott has only one tier 5 class and if you guessed it was also Royal Guard then for you. Again, Scott will be a sort of Glass Cannon being heavily skewed towards dealing damage but not taking it. Basically, he can't hold down a position without support but he can charge headfirst at a boss, usually coming out on top but with most of his health gone.

High Master, Princess, Royal Guard

Cherie also gets three class changes though sadly the one that isn't... it's the Dragon Lord which is utter donkeybull given she starts out as a flier! Regardless, she can be a Royal Guard, a Princess if she goes the Sage route or much like Rohga was in Scenario 17, a High Master who dual wields. High Master is a strong class though it has a CR of 0 and doesn't give her new spells or anything. Still I've never gotten a High Master Cherie and I might just do a bit of trickery to get her before the final fight.

Dragon Master

Keith also only has one tier 5 class and again, no surprises here - it's Dragon Lord -> Dragon Master. A great class with only really stat gain and a better aura with no new spells, I believe. Keith continues being a great recon and aerial flanker with this upgrade only making him better at it.

Serpent Master

Much like his bro, Lester also only gets one tier 5 class which is the Serpent Lord -> Serpent Master, which gives him stat gains but actually weakens his aura from (A+12, D+9) to (A+10, D+7) which I believe is a clearly an error by the developers. Still, more stats fewer problems but there are those who argue you should keep Lester as a Serpent Lord because of this.

High Master, Hero

Aaron, surprisingly gets two tier 5 classes - High Master like Rohga & Cherie and also, like Fighter, the Hero class which he is on his way to in the mirror world. Both choices are fine but Aaron unfortunately is one of the weakest characters in the game, which makes sense - he's an old retired veteran. Out of the two, I'd say Hero is a better choice - has a CR, more interesting units and wins out stat-wise.

Agent, Princess, Wizard

L?na unlike her sister has three tier 5 classes, two of which are the same as Liana's two - Agent and Princess. She also gets access to Hein's tier 5 class, Wizard and with the way I've built her she'll be going towards Agent, which should be fun - that is if I can feed her enough EXP to get to that point.

That's all the secret classes for our current roster, I'll cover the others when we get to the point that we can play as them. However, now that we have gotten through most of the spoiler-y stuff that was outlined in the instruction manual, I can now post up the link for you all to peruse at your leisure. It's quite a good read and has some nice artwork in it too.

Instruction Manual

And that's it for this mini-update! Just some food for thought as well as one question, does the thread mind if I max out Cherie then get her back up to the average level as the rest of the party so that I can show off some of our other class choices? Keep in mind, once we finish the Light path, all the Kalxathian characters will be unavailable to us. Plus, it gives me an excuse to show off the Rune Stone.
