Langrisser... Seal the power of Alhazard.

The clouds are finally parting.

Alhazard's evil aura is no more.

About time... maybe now there can finally be peace in El Sallia.

That's right! With Alhazard gone, we've beaten evil!

No... It's never that simple... Though Alhazard's power may be sealed off, that doesn't mean war has ended.

Indeed, Fighter. The Rayguard Empire has been reduced to shambles.
The fractured states will begin a new war of unification. Such is the way of history.

That's why... I must continue my journey. A journey to realise an ideal world, where people can finally know peace.

You are right... Until that day, our battle shall never end.

I'll return to Salrath to help my father. We will work hard to help create an ideal world.

I'll help too! With Kalxath and its neighbouring nations working together, I'm sure we can bring peace to the land.

Now you're finally talking like a princess. Perhaps I can finally retire to a quieter life.

Well since Cherie has such a crush on me, I'll have to go wherever she does! Hee hee.

Why you...! Hein, you're mean! Keith! This is all because of you and your big mouth!

Holy shit! It's a classic tsundere resolution! Who saw this twist coming?

If everyone combines his or her strength, one day, we can make peace happen.

I pray you are right... Well then, everyone, onward! Let's bring peace to this age!

fade to black

Yes, Lushiris has stats and is actually weaker then Fighter is now... though she does have a big MP pool, so clearly God is a spell-caster. Aww yeah.

No... It's nothing, Lushiris.

Thanks to Figher and his companions, Alhazard and its evil power have disappeared.
However, at the same time, Langrisser has also vanished...

And Jessica has become a maxed out tier 5 mage, the Wizard. So she's got all her power back now, huh.

Sieghart's spirit... His is the soul of Langrisser. With the evil powers of Alhazard sealed off, his soul felt its task had finally ended.

Exactly, Jessica.

That voice is... Sieghart's!

The sword and I have changed much over the last several hundred years... The world has been shaped both for us and because of us.

Yes... In this war, the humans worried about their future and took action to make their dreams come true.

Just as children separate from parents, so humans now separate from their god...
Jessica, thank you for your service thus far. From now on, I would have you live your own life.

Thank you, my mission has finally ended. Mankind has need of me no more.
But perhaps for a little longer, I'll stand watch over this new world...

Jessica teleports away...

Sieghart, come... Let us watch together the dawn of this new age.

That's the ending for the Light path completed. You should watch the rest below, as both are very interesting.

Fighter, heir of Baldea's royal family, embraced destiny and fought for his ideal world. The wars plaguing El Sallia since ancient times had been brought to a climatic end due to Fighter's efforts. In his battles, Fighter gained something important. He gained friends he could trust with his life. Evaluating himself after the war, Fighter found he was lacking in power. Having relied on the help of his companions more often than not, Fighter felt he had to strengthen himself. One day, early in the morning, his bed was already vacant. Yes, Fighter set off on another aimless journey. His accomplishments during this endeavour have since passed into legend...

So yes, Fighter still thinks he's not strong enough... Our hero truly has a one track mind!

The young magician Hein followed Fighter on his quest to rid El Sallia of wars. The Rayguard Empire and B?ser's forces of darkness were quelled with the help of Hein's superior magical skill. His remarkable research on battle strategy was spurred by his time with Scott. Even the most rigorous battles were won with minimal damage due to Hein's supreb command of all forms of magic. Perhaps from overestimating his own powers, he frequently injured himself in battle. Almost losing his life a few times, Hein decided it was for the best to avoid conflict and settled down. After several years had passed, Hein created a laboratory of his own design. It was in this laboratory that Hein researched forbidden magic for summoning creatures of the nether realms. Perhaps by overestimating his control over his summons, Hein lost control of a lesser demon and was dragged into a vortex. Hein has not been seen or heard from ever since. In the summoning circle Hein created, a single iron dumbbell lay slickened with Vaseline.

So Hein, rather then hooking up with Cherie ends up fulfilling another life-long dream and enters the realm of Aniki, to become to manliest man that ever was. Congrats buddy, you got Cherie off your back!

Cherie, born Kalxath's princess and a Descendant of Light, crushed the Imperial Army and the Forces of Darkness. Through this, she helped restore peace throughout the land. She fulfilled her destiny to protect Langrisser, the Sword of Light. At the sight of her charging across the battlefield, people praised her as an angel. Thus, she bolstered the power of her party and made the enemy tremble in fear. She had been praised as the best among old swordsman Aaron's pupils. Not once was she badly wounded during the long excruciating battles. What awaited her after the war were peaceful days of boredom. One day, when she had enough, she finally fled the castle. Before long, rumours spread of a female fighter who claimed to be the "Mystery Knight". The fighter had single-handedly defeated a rampaging dragon. Keith sent a search party, but she was no where to be found. Knowing her nature, he knew sooner or later she would become tired of the journey and travel back to the castle.

Hello, Langrisser II call back! Still Cherie keeps being a monster after the war, which should be no surprise, though she didn't hook up with Hein before his accident... oh well. All hail Queen Cherie!

With many distinguished awards, Keith spread his name throughout the land. After returning to the castle, he continued his service in the Queen's absence, hoping Cherie would soon return. It was her birthright to assume the throne of Kalxath. Keith worked day and night along with the soldiers to rebuild Kalxath. Later, in order to ensure the safety of nearby villages, Keith formed the Monster Squad. This was a youth brigade which helped protect outlying areas from rampaging monsters. However, Keith's plans always seemed to backfire. Sadly, one day, Keith attempted to rescue a damsel in distress from the clutches of a vile monster and lost his life...

Holy shit, Keith died. Man these endings are clearly punishment for letting people retreat. Oh well, there's more to come I'm sure.

Perhaps because of his lack of skill during the war, Lester returned to Jessica's service. After Jessica regained her full power through the Rebirth spell, Lester was no longer needed as a guardian. He left to live in a nearby village and drowned his sorrows in spiced rum while trying to forget the horrors of war. Hearing rumours of raunchy Pirates terrorising local pubs, Lester leaped into action. Charging through the crowds into a local pub where the pirate leader was causing problems, he fought his way inside... Lester was not seen after the incident, no one knows if he was beaten to death or otherwise. Some say they have seen a pirate that resembles Lester, but no one is sure enough to swear by it...

It makes sense for Lester to have such an ending as a. All his Pirate buddies were killed by the Empire, b. He's seen a lot of bad shit, c. Captain Morgan is a great spiced rum and d. Of course he survived and continues his secretive life, as a legendary discipline of the Pirate King, Fighter.

Earning many medals in honour of his distinguished service as a Knight of Salrath, Scott returned home. And three years later... A surviving pack of monsters attacked the city. Scott desperately fought with all his might, but he was only able to save himself. Watching the destruction with his own eyes and realising his lack of strength, he left on an unknown quest without a word.

Short and sweet, for our dear boy Scott. At least he didn't die... and also, came to a Fighter-esque realization.

Being born as a holy Maiden of Light, Liana was destined for a life of conflict. Through the support she found in Fighter, Liana never faltered even under extreme hardships. Liana gladly helped Fighter take on the forces of evil and stop the Empire's ambition. Even during the excruciating battles, not once did she back down. She fought till the end. She never made outstanding achievements in battle. However, her healing magic enabled the party to fight confidently and without worry of dying. After the war, peace returned, but the scars left by it had made many orphans. With her kindness, although poor, Liana built an orphanage and underwent many hardships. Liana supported the children in her care so that they might have a better life. Liana's financial difficulties came to an end when Fighter visited her a few years later. During Fighter's journey, he had single-handedly settled a dispute between three states. Fighter donated the money which he was awarded to the orphanage. Without the worries of managing the orphanage, Liana accepted Fighter's request to go on a journey... The two travel to help rid the continent of conflict so the children might live in a shining new era of peace.

Then they marry and reinstate the Baldean Royalty, I presume. This is actually a pretty good ending epilogue for Liana as it focuses on more then just her feelings for Fighter.

L?na overcame her grief at the atrocities she committed during B?ser's control of her mind. She went to Estool to enlist in the service of the great priests in the Grand Temple of Lushiris. After the war, the whole continent was threatened with a deadly plague. L?na tried desperately to find a cure, but accidentally infected herself in the process. Many years later, after having a happy life of atonement, L?na's health began to decline. Before dying, L?na had succeeded in creating a miraculous medicine to cure a plague epidemic. After witnessing the fruition of her medicine, she quietly passed away... It is said she had a warm smile on her face.

L?na's one is just the most

Video: Staff Credits Roll

Just watch the damn credits at least once, so you know who deserves thanks for this game. I've put the music up as well.

So the Light Path... it's a mixed bag, arguably we saved the world and allowed Sieghart's soul to be put to rest. We slaughtered an entire Empire, destroyed many families and reinforced hatreds hundreds of years old. War will inevitably come again and we may never live to see peace through the continent in our time.

Still, it's considered the good ending since we won it for the Descendants of Light and made our goddess and her avatar happy, which is nice. But whilst the story makes the most sense since it was based off the core material, I feel it just goes against what Fighter is at his core as well as being one of the more boring paths to play through. There are some interesting tidbits here and there, that I hadn't seen before and that spiced up some of my recording sessions but unfortunately, it remains mostly forgettable since it really does feel like a generic "save the world" JRPG story when compared to the other paths. That's not to say it's bad, but it just isn't as memorable or as fun as some of the other missions in the other paths unfortunately.

Anyhoo, a big thanks to everyone for coming along with me on the ride through the generic heroism that is the path of Light. There's still the mirror world updates to go, but I think I'll do a mini-update with regards to our new hero of the Empire soon. Then I can work on the mirror world updates in the background whilst y'all are thinking about our new hero. So once again, thanks for sticking with me so far, there'll be more to come!
