Chapter Nine: A Blip on the Historical Radar

Like any good Alanian king, Malkhazi declares war on the Horde as soon as he is able.

9000 against 14000 is poor odds, but what is the Horde to do?

Once again the Persian send reinforcements to aid the Horde.

But the Persian army is defeated and the Khan surrenders before more can arrive.

Afterwards, Malkhazi takes a pilgrimage to Constantinople.

There, Malkhazi rekindles his faith.

Once he gets back home, he finds that the Sunnis have revolted again.

Then his steward is killed by peasants.

Another group of Sunnis rebel.

And a full-scale liberation revolt breaks out.

Then Malkhazi falls to some mysterious illness.

Fortunately, his army does better in the field.

And both revolts are crushed.

Just in time for him to die and Mukhran to take the throne.
