We get some tanks to deal with the tanks in the area.


MCV too.


If you looked at the mini update you'll understand why i'm moving north to set up my base.






This is about as far south as you want to setup, more north is better.




Some people just want to watch the world burn.


Just need to clear the infantry in the area.


Go for a guard tower asap, it'll help mow down the rocket soldiers and flamethrowers.


Like so.


Being north gives you two fields within easy reach.


For some reason the AI has rocket soldiers up in the corner, kill them and it builds more and parks them in that corner.


Squish.


Another advantage of being so far north is the lack of intervening waypoints causes the flamethrowers and rocket soldiers to separate due to their different move speeds.




Flame throwers are like the most annoying/effective counter against grenadiers.






Time to do some scouting.


Leaving those patches of tiberium there whittles down the infantry a bit.








Something that's changed from the previous mission is NOD built some turrets.


Already separating.








I really wish at this point i'd built the second guard tower on the south side.




Some buggies arrived.






Getting a bit low on infantry.


See? More rocket soldiers in the top corner.

Finally!


Now they're fucked.






Biggest advantage of guard towers over say humvees is better armor and firepower for only $100 more, though you do have to repair them.


That should make us a bit more comfortable.




Humvees are really good for scouting though.






Fuck that's a lot of infantry.


And now the turret is shooting the civilian house!?


I lost a bunch of screenshots, but basically used grenadiers to break down that wall and then to shit off the AI so the infantry would attack.

That escalated quickly.

Really should have built another harvester earlier.


Those fucking rocket soldiers in that corner.


For some reason they came around the bottom to attack (the reason is I blocked their pathfinding using the tanks)

Back into some semblance of order again.


More successful raid this time.


And retreat!




And again.


More pathfinding exploits.




That will make this easier.


It's basically downhill from that point.






So many fucking infantry on that patrol loop.














It's basically not feasible to get the airstrike on this mission before the challenging part is over.


I'm really bad at timing airstrikes.
