Wow, you have so many dolls!

I don't mind if you touch them. Just don't break any.

Surprising, isn't it? I think Alice's house is just about the only place you could find so many dolls.

Hmm, so is this what's popular over here? They're pretty, but they need to be livelier. I think I like my place better.

Is she not from around here...? I think lively dolls would actually be kind of creepy though. Oh yeah, I guess I should have said this earlier, but I'm Marisa Kirisame, a magician.

And I'm Nitori, and that's Alice. We're all friends.

Wow, you sure have a lot of friends.

So, what's your deal?

I'm Koishi, a simple tourist.

You already said that. Would a tourist really want to visit here though?

Not really. I'm just wandering around.

A wandering tourist? You mean you just wanted to see what it's like out in the sticks or something?

Ah! Don't tell me you ran away from home?

Now that you mention it, she does give that impression. So, where do you live? Are you in contact with your family?

My sister's probably busy with work right now. She understands everything, so our pets love her.

Everything? Really?

Well, we still don't have the full picture, but I think it's clear that we need to contact this sister of yours. Your family is probably worried about you, so you need to tell us exactly where you live. Do you understand?

I understand. Me and my sister are real close.

...

I don't think she understands, Alice. I guess she's safe enough for now though.

If that's settled, then let's talk about those crows. Didn't you say something like "I've been found"?

Oh yeah, if I stay here then they might sniff me out again.

They must have some kind of reason for chasing you. If you tell us about it, we can help you.

No thanks, it's not really something I wanna talk about. Well, it's been fun. Later.

Ah, wait!

Koishi leaves.

...

And she's gone. You were being so nice to her too.

Oh well. As long as she does whatever she was doing earlier, we don't have to worry about anyone pursuing her.

Koishi, was it? What a mysterious girl.

Definitely. I'm grateful that she stopped the fight for us, though.

I coulda done without that. That was my chance to teach Yuuka a lesson!

Then you're still mad about that.

You bet I am! I need to settle things with her. How could she just leaves after saying "next time" or whatever?

Maybe she said all that on purpose, to get you to fight her? She might be planning something, like she did back in summer.

I don't care what she's doing, I can handle whatever she throws at me. Just watch, I'll beat her someday.

I suppose it shouldn't come as a surprise that things would turn out this way.

She doesn't know the first thing about Lady Mima! Where does she get off saying all that about her? Even I don't know where Lady Mima is now. But I know that what Yuuka said is flat out wrong.

Marisa...

I can understand what you must be feeling, but you really need to calm down. Yuuka just likes to get under people's skin. You know that, right?

...

Yeah, you're right. Sorry about all this. I'm gonna step outside for some fresh air.

Marisa leaves too.

...

Hey, Marisa's been acting odd today. I've never seen her get so angry before.

Well, as you just saw, Marisa cares about Mima more than anything else in the world. I don't know the details, but Mima's disappearance has probably been eating away at her all this time.

I see, so after getting provoked like that, all those feelings just exploded. I'm a bit surprised though. Marisa's always been so full of confidence.

I'm sure Mima's a special case. She's the one who showed Marisa that magic exists, after all.
