The Guards on this map are actually fairly dangerous. They're fast and deal decent damage. They're also the only enemy here.
They also have a unique special attack animation!
Still, they're no match for BAT!!! and THUNDRSHOK.
This formation is extremely dangerous, since they can easily kill HOUSEMASTER!!! and PIKAHCU!!! before they can react.
I came close to losing quite a few times because of them.
At least the guards are worth a decent amount of EXP.

Compared to the five guard formation, Dog is a pushover.
