Purist 1:1. By Virtue, By Strength.
Lenna's father is going...
Wind has stopped...
Galuf's got to hurry. Some things are constant.
Our protagonist is not.
Meet Purist, the Omniknight. A loyal and obedient follower of the All Seeing One, the Omniscience. As might be inferred by the name, the Omniscience sees all.
Even if you try to escape your destiny, He will find you, and he will force you to obey.
Better.
Yes, the entire reason I'm doing this is because I realized that a Knight with every ability is an 'Omniknight.'
So what do Knights bring to the table? The second best strength in the game (behind monks) and the third best vitality (behind Monks and Berserkers) means we're pretty good at going toe to toe with people, especially considering our good weapon selection, including knightswords, which are exclusive to us (except for Freelancers, which can equip anything, and Gladiators, which don't count.) This includes the Brave Blade. Yes, I am going for it (which means I cannot run from a random encounter.) Yes, this is stupid. (Yes, I might rename it 'Divine Rapier.') Our job command is !Guard, which makes us immune to physical attacks until next turn. We also get innate Cover, which allows us to take hits for critical health allies. This is useful in a normal run (get everyone but the Knight to critical, berserk the boss, use guard, you win) but it's useless in a solo run.
Our magic is bad and our agility isn't that great, mind, so we might have issue with stuff I cannot just hit til they die. But that's what our giant pool of abilities are for.
Anyone ever tell you that an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, Galuf? If not, Purist will tell you.
Dammit Purist stop stealing things.
This is your fault. Don't worry, though...
The Omniscience works in mysterious ways.
The pirate has converted! Victory!
We worship a being that knows everything. We know how to get to the Wind Shrine.
Also I want healing that isn't three potions.
There we go.
Back attacks are really annoying when your primary form of offense is 'hit them with melee weapon.'
Now Cover is doubly useless! Yay!
Do I have to give the Wing Raptor stats? It's not exactly complicated, I'm just going to use Fight til it dies...
Unless it decides to use Breath Wing every turn and I think I can outdamage it, so I don't heal.
And unless this happens again because I am a moron.
So there's another broadsword right next to the boss...
And I'm too lazy to grind. And too stubborn to heal.
Problem solved!
Deaths: 2
What's a Knight? It sounds boring, and unable to deal with bosses with physical attacks only.
No thank you, fourth-wall Chocobo. I do know how to play this game (ignore my two deaths from the first boss please.)
