What you don't see offscreen is the "No Dogs Allowed" sign.
Down in the Fire Ship, Liquid Flame's Blaze isn't really too scary, but he takes two Zeninages to kill, and if he switches to Hand he could kill in one hit with a Fira.
Fortunately he switches to Tornado and heals himself for barely anything.
And that's that.

Now for the escape. Trump will gain a lot of levels here because the dog packs are really hard to run from and I really want all the Elixirs and other junk.
I use Zeninage on the Gigas only, because they take 3 normal hits, counter those with Aero, and can do high damage with Aera.
The Main Gauche does less damage than the Ashura, but it has an evade passive that stacks with the Elven Mantle and Shirahadori. This makes it great for dodging while using Zeninage for damage.
Aera does about half of Trump's Max HP. Pretty scary.

I could have waited the two bosses to get this here without dying to Jackanapees a bunch. Instead, this is just 2000 gil.
Sorcerers can be jerks sometimes. Not only do they have Confuse...
...they can also inflict Toad. I learned something during this run though.
Zeninage doesn't care about Toad.
I found this so amusing that I killed Iron Claw as a red frog.

I'd hardly count this as a boss, but it did take 3200 gil to beat them.
Samurai doesn't really get much from levelling. Most of these skills are for others to also be Samurai.
Because I ended the escape at level 16, I can avoid everything on the way to the Library of Ancients.
But I don't know how...
I wasn't expecting a preemptive here, but it changes very little.
All Ifrit can manage is a single Blaze.
Ifrit gets sick of being pelted with coins and goes home.

This spider tries to slow me but it doesn't keep me from escaping.
Probably should have used Libra.
Now for Byblos. Byblos is really terrible for most physical classes, at least when he's not wasting turns trying to halve MP.
Samurai has no such issues.
Byblos does put up Protect, but he didn't realize one thing.
Zeninage also ignores Protect.
He also could have used Discord, but that would only weaken it from 2400 damage to 1200.
