Trump the Samurai - Part 8 - Takeover

Last time, Xezat died and left us his cool submarine.

The first thing to do is visit the town of Moore.

Moore has a full set of Diamond armor and an Air Knife, which is more powerful than my current weapons.

Anyway, gotta go to Ghido's Cave to progress.

I somehow remembered how to progress through this puzzle without wasting any time.

This cave is full of crazy old men who can turn into cats, frogs, ice ladies, and other old men.

Hey stop that you jerk

Exactly.

I actually never went and talked to Ghido after the cutscene. He really is the best second best character.

Anyway, time for the forest.

The forest has an annoyingly high encounter rate, but Iainuki takes them all out with little issue.

This is absolutely necessary. Instead of being relatively weak to magic attacks, Trump now has at least a 33% chance to just no-sell almost anything.

The Seal Guardians are not Heavy. It takes a few swings, but they all fall to Iainuki.

You could have just Doomed them all and be done with it, you lazy bastard.

Galuf ascends to Super Saiyan Zombie Samurai!

His levels gained from his time as a zombie actually speed this up slightly.

You can't even cast magic, don't lie to him.

I do laps around Krile like an idiot while I wait for the plot to continue.

I decided to go to Surgate for healing and noticed people mourning Xezat.

As it turns out, you can't heal here. Then again, I got cutscene healed at some point, so I didn't need it.

I also decide to visit Bal to see how they would react.

Kelger finally dies off, but it's for a good cause.

Because now it's meat fort time.

Apparently the Hellraisers can case Arise even when they get killed by Iainuki, and they can even raise themselves. How annoying.

The Aegis Shield picked a weird time to work.

The Black Warlocks are really deadly as they have 3 instant death spells (Break, Death, AND Banish) and are apparently Heavy. Screw that.

The weird roulette bridge thing has this katana, which is a bit stronger than the Air Knife is.

Eventually we end up running into a familiar face.

Gilgamesh has really weak defenses, moving into the conversation with only 3 Zeninages.

The shield is a hero, saving me here as well as blocking another Hurricane and a Dischord.

Gilgamesh powers up...

...and then gets banished away.

Killing Gilgamesh?

It takes a few deaths before getting a start without Doom.

He's even nice enough to move me into the back row.

Zeninage puts out enough damage that I do not have to worry about a second Doom loop.

Vacuum Wave is the only thing here that was actually scary. Everything else is stopped by the Reflect Ring or does very little in comparison.

Exdeath

And just like that, we end up back at Tycoon Castle with no idea why.

Next Time: I'll probably just go straight to the Rift
