Today we begin and the Great Gubal Library... I mean the library of the ancients, and then Immediately run away from this place until gain a level. I saw I was level twenty and went 'NOPENOPENOPE'.
To proceed in the library the lord of the inferno needs to be dealt with. Unfortunately he can be a bit of a punk if he spams high kick and paralyze locks you.

when fighting the book enemies !gaia's predominant terrain is Fool's light which is fire based, great for random encounters but horrible for Ifrit.
Dang Bylbos you got swole.
Bylbos has a great many things to make my life hell, primarily dischord and drain.
But he's still a book and books burn...
I'll admit, this felt good.
now because we don't really play around on the fire powered boat too much I decided to go on a world tour to other places you can access with the boat.
Our first little stop on the world tour:

After getting the black chocobo, adding bard and ranger to my list of jobs I can now use I decided to grind out the last of the gil on black flames over by Istory for a flame ring...
Let's just say I'm in the Low thirties and call it good ok?
I also beat the Levin Lord over the head until he joined my party.
After returning to the Gubal Library We head to the desert to head to the town of ruins...
but first it's every berserkers Friend the Sandworm!
A little trick I picked up from Rock! 
While traveling in the desert I get to see two new Terrains: sandstorm and quicksand.
look don't ask why I can call a Tsunami of water in the middle of the sky. Fusei might be pulling from it's memories as a basic boat I don't know. *shrug*
After frying Cray Claw with Ramuh We park back in the airship base and save.
Should note that Cray dropped the frost bow for me, Fusei's having all the odd drop luck.
