Lee: "It seems the Aggressors' star has dimmed, Major Kitamura."
Kai: "I have no excuse."
Lee: "And what, exactly, was the test pilot doing? She surrendered her prototype. It's enough to make one think she's had outside contact with the DC remnants."
Latooni: "....."

Bullet: "Captain, do you suspect your own comrades?"
Lee: "Comrades? No. Pieces. Pieces, to move when they are required."
Bullet: "!"
Lamia: (As it should be. Although I doubt that will satisfy him.)

Excellen: "You always say these things. Ever think about how they sound?"
Lee: "The same could be said about you, Lieutenant Browning."
Excellen: "Oh, I don't know what you're ta-alking abo-out... say, this is actually pretty fun, Lammy!"
Lamia: (I'm not doing it for fun...)

Bullet: "Captain, Latooni fought alongside us in the L5 campaign. She's more than proved herself. It's simply not possible that she's a traitor."
Lamia: "....."
Lee: "You speak as though it hasn't happened before. But there's already a precedent, isn't there? One Major Ingram Prisken."
Bullet: "!"
Lee: "Are you aware of just how much damage the Federation suffered, thanks to the information he gave the enemy?"
Bullet: "Ugh..."

Lee: "As for Ensign Suvota... she once served under Adler Koch, former Vice-Commander of the Divine Crusaders. No doubt she's met others who now serve the DC remnants."
Latooni: "....."
Bullet: "What the... that was in the School, do you think she had a choice!?"
Lee: "I'm not interested in your opinion. Hold your tongue and think about that."
Bullet: "...!"

Kai: "Lieutenant Colonel Lee, as her superior, the responsibility is mine. I will accept the blame for this incident."
Latooni: (Major Kai...)
Lee: "Naturally. I'll make certain that's in the record."

Bullet can't believe that Kai is going to just take this, but he says that there's an order to things in the military - and there's no escaping that the prototype was their responsibility, and is now in enemy hands. Latooni, meanwhile, is feeling terrible about the whole affair; however, Kai's only concern is that she's unharmed. He tells her that when she's put her feelings in order, then she can explain what happened today.

Lamia: (You should determine the cause now. Otherwise, it's certain to cause another failure...)
Excellen: "Uh-oh... I think the Demon Instructor's going soft. It must be old age setting in..."
Kai: "I'm still in my thirties, you know. In any case, the last war showed me that there's nothing to be gained from an overbearing attitude."
Excellen: "Oh, really now. Which pack of worthless slackers gave you that idea?"
Kai: "You lot, obviously."
Excellen: "Oh, my..."

In any case, despite Lee's general jerkishness, he has a point: there's a strong possibility of a traitor in their ranks. The DCs have been far too well-informed about the Federation's new hardware and timetables. But considering just how many of these machines have now been stolen, if there is a traitor, it's someone highly placed.

Lamia: "Miss Exy, what sort of machi-ine is the Wildfal-alken?"
Excellen: "Hmm... well, how do I describe it... I guess it's like the Weissy's stepsister?"
Lamia: "Step... sister?"
Excellen: "That's right. Unaware of the bond between them, by a cruel twist of fate, they fell in love with the same man."
Lamia: "Is this a story?"

Excellen: "Unlike her sister, she came from a life of poverty and misery, but she swore to herself, 'I won't lose to her!' The rivalry of love forces the two siblings ever farther apart. How much will she risk in the name of passion? Oh, the cruelty of fate! Find out in our next episode! Know what I mean?"
Lamia: (Is this... a code? I don't understand...)

Rai: "The Wildfalken is an artillery unit, and a refinement of the Weissritter's concept. But unlike the Wildwurger, which will be using the Gespenst's G2 frame, it uses the Huckebein's H frame. So they're step-siblings. In a way."
Excellen: "Right on top of things as always, handsome! Thanks for your hard work."
Rai: "I'm not your interpreter..."

Excellen wants to know why the Wurger wasn't here (she calls it the Wildburger in the Atlus version and has to be corrected). Just like the Falken is a refinement of the Weissritter, the Wurger is the next generation of the Alteisen - which means it's a ridiculously finicky design and still has bugs to iron out. Excellen is a little frightened of what it'll look like, once Dr. Radom is done with it. For her part, Lamia thinks that she's never heard of these machines before.

Finally, Lamia gets introduced to the others. Kai is just as she expected from the data (and has no reaction to her speech pattern), and she has no particular comment about Latooni, but...

Rai: "Lieutenant Raidiese F. Branstein. At your service."
Lamia: (Branstein... the son of that cursed family. Though, if the Huckebein is in widespread use, his presence shouldn't be surprising.)

Archibald welcomes Yuuki back to the submarine after his successful mission. Yuuki holds his tongue about the tea this time, though it clearly still doesn't meet his standards (being made from a tea bag - what a poseur). Archibald asks his opinion of their two new recruits; Yuuki has no complaints about Seolla, but as for the other one... Archibald says it shouldn't be surprising, as he heard from Dr. Cero that the other is "defective." That's not quite the word Yuuki would have used to describe Arado, but again, he doesn't voice an objection.

With the Wildfalken safely in their custody, they will now be continuing with their previous mission: draw the Federation's attention away from Colonel Van and the Earth Cradle. Archibald thinks the Far East Base will make a fine next destination; he has an "ancestral" bond to the place - and some personal business to take care of before the war begins in earnest. Yuuki has no idea what he's talking about.

-----

Arado's getting bawled out by Seolla over his lackluster performance during the mission. At the rate he's going, he's liable to get killed in no time - at least according to her.

Seolla: "Did you forget the promise we made?"
Arado: "Survive, and find the rest of the kids from the School. I didn't forget."
Seolla: "Then why do you---"
Arado: "Hey, c'mon, Seolla. I'm not dying so easily, so stop worrying. Besides, I, uh... I've got another promise to keep, too."

Seolla: "What are you doing, trying to act cool all of a sudden?"
Arado: "Huh?"
Seolla: "What other promise could matter to you? Spit it out!"
Arado: "L-look, never mind, OK? I don't have- to tell you that, do I?"

Seolla: "Please... I'm telling you this because it's important... because I finally found Lat."
Arado: "!! Wh... what was that!?"
Seolla: "Th... that's right. Lat is..."
Arado: "She was there? Where!? No way... she was in the Wildfalken?"
Seolla: "Y-yeah..."
Arado: "Why didn't you tell me when it happened!?"
Seolla: "We... had to get away with the Falken..."

Seolla: (But... I forgot. Why? Why didn't I remember her... until just now?)
Arado: "S... so Lat, she's..."
Seolla: "She was... being forced to pilot a PT. I had to get her out... so I took my gun, and..."
Arado: "What!?"
Seolla: "Yes... I... I shot at her...!"

Seolla: (Why? Why... would I ever do that...?)
Arado: "Seolla?"
Seolla: (We wanted to find Lat for so long... so... what was I thinking!?)
Arado: "Seolla, you're going pale. What's wrong?"
Seolla: "N-nothing! Nothing's wrong!"

Seolla runs away, leaving Arado alone.
Arado: "Seolla..."
Arado: (You loved her just as much as Ouka did... Wh-what's going on?)
