I Like The Knight Life, Baby!
Let's Go!

To the Sand Rat Mouse House! Delita does his thing, and I have Khel and Kodo help. Ravenwolf and Velvet are paried up with Algus. Ravenwolf's bad-assery should overcome Algus' dead weight...

I decide to use Break Helmet. I have a 37% chance. Bleh.

I did not expect to break his helmet.

Algus, stop using my limited supply of Potions!

And Delita is dead. I think he pulled an Algus...

And now we're getting ganged up on. That's my tactic...

Doing God's work.

Ravenwolf is about to layeth the smack down.

Khel's in a bad place, and Kodo is already down. Things aren't looking good...

Kodo crystalizes after this turn.

Time to reset, and try again.

I see you chose to blame God.

Sadly, the second time around went almost exactly the same as the first time. I decide to grind to get everyone to Knight. I choose to go from Dorter to Igros, and get into a battle at Mandalia. That gives me the JP for Throw Stone and Move +1 for everyone, so Khel and the 4 Squires are now Knights. I stop by Igros to outfit them, then head back, with no random battles.

This time, I decide to let Delita do his own thing, and have everyone gang up on the same person over here.

Kodo Filia hit him with a stone hard enough to knock him back.

Musashi is back for revenge, and he's a Monk this time.

Algus being a distraction works out well for me.

Man, Gaston is in everything!

Velvet took a crossbow bolt that was intended for Algus. Ooops!

No one runs like Gaston!

Ooo! Treasure! I decide to hold off on murdering Musashi to get the chest.

Not bad. If I decide to make Delita a Knight, he'll like this. Otherwise, I can sell it.

It took 3 tries, 2 more than I wanted. Ah well.

Dissention in the enemy ranks? I'll take it.

Time to save Not Sephiroth.

After that, the first thing I do is save. I do not want to do it again.

Oh look. New shields. Goodbye, Gil.

Also, I discovered that Ravenwolf actually did not have Throw Stone. I went to Mandalia with him as a Squire to earn the JP he needed to get it. He died 8 JP short. A second battle got it for him, though.

We wanted to get some Rat Tails. They're a teasty treat, you know!

The game chooses for you, but that's OK. We can pretend I chose the one I'm going to.

New gear. And not nearly enough Gil. I had to buy new stuff, sell the old stuff it replaced, buy more new stuff, sell more old stuff, etc. until I had everyone decked out. It left me with 175 Gil.

I decide to bring Eliar, who usually sits these fights out, because the Thieves can use Steal Heart to charm female units.

Game over, man! Game over!

Don't mind if I do!

Son of a... Charm'd.

Eliar throws rocks at girls to break Kodo Filia out of Charm. The scumbag Thief just Charms her again. On the plus side, she decided to attack Algus.

If you don't, we'll stick you with Algus.

Why Alugs Is A Douche, Example 1

Yeah, there's more to come.

Meanwhile, back at the castle: Kidnapping! They already grabbed Teta, Delita's Sis. That's both who she is, and her Job, by the way.

CHOCO GUARD!

Slyced & Dycedarg!

Naked Algus. That means it's time to dump his ass.
