Update 03
Going in at a bit of a disadvantage. Kodo's been on the bench for all story battles up to this point, so she's behind in levels. She's Level 10, while the next lowest is Kestrel at 13. Finn is the highest, at 17, but hey! Who's gonna tell him to stop leveling up?
I get executed here a few times...
First Attempt has Khel, Shadow, and Kestrel on Squad 1, Finn and Kodo on Squad 2.
They prioritize Finn and Kestrel, wiping me out.
Second Attempt has Khel, Finn, and Kestrel on Squad 1, Shadow and Kodo on Squad 2.
I get murdered again.
Time to grind. 
Plant Trap the Archer in the corner, and start farming XP and JP. I lost track of how long I healed and beat down this Archer (I didn't have the JP for Frog before the fight started). In the end, Kodo was still the lowest in level, but she's 16 now, so that should help.
Trying the first attempt setup again. I steal this Knight's sword, and the other Knight breaks Kodo's Coral sword in revenge.
Gaf kills Finn.
Khel steals Gaf's Blood Sword.
Gaf kills Finn two more times.
Repeating Fist is something that Ramza will put to use near the end of this update...
I won! 
So, it turns out that Ovelia isn't really Ovelia...
Kodo replaces her broken Coral Sword...
I used the Skip Lionel Castle trick to go get some Rubber Shoes. I forgot to get any Defense Rings, though...
This was my next roadblock battle...
Gaf killed Kheldarn.
Trying again...
Kheldarn lived, but the rest of my party got wiped out. At this point, I remember to equip the Rubber Shoes I bought. I then have to reset twice, because I screwed up deploying my units, since it's backwards.
This time, I had Kheldarn just use Chakra to stay alive, while the rest of the team ran clean-up. Then I let them in to help with Gaf. I ended up using ALL of Kodo's MP. 
Finn gets revenge for Gaf killing him a few times.
Game over for you!
And away we go!
It's at this point that I realize I forgot to get any Defense Rings...
Khel and Kodo get hit with Death Sentence, while Shadow is hit with Sleep.
As it turns out, the lack of Defense Rings didn't matter. Two hits of Repeating Fist from Khel, Shadow and Kodo each using Throw Stone, and a Bolt2 from Finn were enough to finish the battle. Quikken only got to use Nightmare, then he was charging one of his many Bio spells when a Repeating Fist to the back of the head did him in.
Delita isn't having any of that.
