It's as basic as you get, it's a rat. But it's alright. It's got some alright Attack and Speed and literally falls over to anything else, so it'll definitely do some damage and is a pretty good choice for early on, but it cannot really take hits well, nor is it particularly impressive later on, but it can hold its own, more than the other choices you may have here and there. Overall, could be better, could be worse, it's a freaking rat, what do you really expect?
But as for moves and such, it's very one note, it does get some nice stuff as it grows, but it's all Normal type moves, bar one exception. It get Hyper Fang really early, at level 13, which is a stupidly good move that can last you for a while, but otherwise it's all eh. Being a Normal type it gets a lot of moves, but doesn't have the stats to really use them, but it has a couple of options for physical moves, including some kinds of coverage, but there are others that can use it more effectively. Especially when you get them quite late, so it's an interesting decision. Though we won't be finding out ourselves.
