Making a splash early on in the playthrough, Poliwag is okay. It's pretty average in a lot of things, but it does have a weirdly high Speed. Like, are tadpoles usually fast? Anyway, this is a bit of a weird egg, as we'll see later on, but for now, it's has okay Attack? Well its movepool does not reflect that, really, aside from the usual Normal exceptions, hehe, so it's your standard Water type, which means it can be pretty good, but also vies for a lot of attention. Well with the combination of TMs and a lot of love, it'll be exactly what you want it to be and it can handle its own easily enough, but you do have the option of branched evolution, if you are able to.
As it stands right now, it'll have some trouble getting into its own niche, since it faces competition with other Water types and won't have the easiest time against future opponents, but, since it's gonna be our new team member, we'll see just exactly how it matches up.
