Rolling through, this rock is a very useful, if very weighted Pokemon. More specifically, it has excellent Attack and Defense, especially for a basic stage, but it has terrible Speed and Special stats, so you know exactly what this thing can do and only that. And it does learn what it needs to do that, but unless you breed, you'll be relying on your Ground STAB instead, since you'll just learn Rock Throw, which is very useful for the start of the game, but falls off fairly quickly. It also falls over if a Special move so much as looks at it funny, which is good for our starters, but bad for using it on our team. But it handles the early game very well and stays consistently good throughout, so it's an excellent choice, with very unfortunate downfalls.
