The most annoying encounter you'll ever have... is actually a pretty good Pokemon. Well, it doesn't have an amazing typing and for a Poison type, it doesn't even get STAB for it, which is actually quite weird. It does at least get Flying moves, but not for a while, so it doesn't have a great start, but once it gets going, it gets going. Kind of. Despite Sludge Bomb being introduced in this gen, it can't learn it, along with a few others that finally did in Gen 3. And it doesn't even learn Fly until its final evolution. Buuuuut, it has alright stats, a not too bad typing and it can be pretty useful. It just needs a bit of time to get into its groove.
Has a lot of good resistances coming up, but as far as moves go, it only learns a number of Normal moves, especially via TM. I would also not suggest picking one up right now since it'll only know Leech Life for a little while, which sucks a lot, so get it once it learns Bite at level 12. And then you'll be waiting for your next consistent move with Wing Attack.
