Joyce: "Ooh... Your Highness...!"
Shine: "I'm back, Joyce."
Joyce: "I don't believe it... you joined in the liberation yourself?"
Shine: "Yes. And we succeeded... thanks to Latooni and Sir Raidiese, and everyone aboard the Hagane."
Joyce: "Shine..."

Shine: "Is everyone safe?"
Joyce: "Yes. We evacuated all the palace staff to the shelter. But... the Neue Divine Crusaders had sealed a bomb in there with us."
Shine: "Yes. Among our enemies, there are some who won't hesitate to carry out such acts. And... not just here. Other places, as well.
Joyce: "....."

Shine: "Joyce... I have a request."

The pilots marvel at the Fairlions' capabilities, their synchronization, and their... uh... dance moves. Apparently Filio and Dr. Kazahara came up with the moves themselves, and Tsugumi tries unsuccessfully to picture how they collected the motion data.

Still, Arado has some questions about whether Latooni's fine with the machine, and it soon becomes clear that she doesn't share Tsugumi's delight over its appearance, though. Tsugumi is irrepressible, though - the frills, the ribbons, it's the perfect coordination between pilot and aircraft! Ibis thinks to herself that Tsugumi's taste is a bit suspect.

Irm suggests that if the mech's body is what Latooni doesn't like, they can just change the armor, and Tsugumi glumly agrees that they can swap in plating from the Guarlion if they must.

Ryusei: "...I think it's fine."
Latooni: "Huh?"
Ryusei: "There's no problem with the perfomance, is there, Latooni?"
Latooni: "N-no..."
Ryusei: "Then hey, why not? It's cute. The skirt suits you, Latooni."
Latooni: "....."
Arado: (The skirt? What does that have to do with...)

Latooni: "I'll... keep using it."
Tsugumi: "Good! I think it suits you too."
Ibis: (I knew it...)

Ryusei: "Then I'm gonna get some pictures real quick."
Tsugumi: "Here, let me. I'll get you and the Fairlion together."
Ryusei: "Really? Sweet!"
Latooni: "....."

Tsugumi: "Go on, Latooni, you too."
Latooni: "Huh? But I don't want to spoil the---"
Ryusei: "What are you talking about? You're the pilot! We'll take one together."
Latooni: "O... okay..."

Arado: "Then I'll go too!"
Irm: "Hey, pal, don't be the third wheel here."
Arado: "Huh? What do you--- oh. Oooohhhh."

Tsugumi: "Ready when you are, you two."
Ryusei: "All set!"
Latooni:

Irm: (Did you plan for this too, old man? ...Nah, I'm reading too much into things.)

Archibald and his forces have gotten clear of the Federation and made their escape across the Mediterranean, and their current whereabouts are unknown . Rai accepts the news; their objective was to liberate Riksent, and that has been accomplished. Archibald can be dealt with another day.

Joyce and Shine enter, and Joyce offers his sincerest thanks for their freedom. Daitetsu tells him there's nothing to fear now; the Federation will be on its guard in Riksent, and the Hagane will continue to pursue the NDC forces to ensure that they don't try again. Shine is less sanguine about the future; the Divine Crusaders might be gone from Riksent, but other countries will still suffer their attacks - and that's to say nothing of the ongoing alien threat.

Daitetsu has already guessed that the Princess intends to come with them; Joyce adds that he tried to talk her out of it, but she wouldn't be deterred. Shine says that she hated running away from Riksent, but if she leaves things at this and lets the Hagane continue the fight, it will be like hiding from an even greater threat - to all the world. The crew reacts with varying degrees of dismay to her announcement, but Daitetsu firmly says that if this is her decision, they have no right to tell her otherwise.

Daitetsu: "But there's one thing you musn't forget. On the battlefield, the life of a princess is no different from that of a common soldier."
Shine: "I'll be treated the same as everyone else?"
Daitetsu: "Bullets don't make any distinctions. Are you prepared for that?"
Shine: "Yes. I'm prepared for the danger!"

Tetsuya protests that this isn't something that can be decided just by them, but Joyce responds that the will of the princess is the will of the people, and that he will tell the Federation himself. They will keep the country safe during her absence.

Shine looks to Rai, but he offers to objection either. It's just as he said before this mission; everyone on the Hagane will do what they must, together. Joyce says his farewells, and Shine promises to return once the earth is at peace.

Archibald: "...And somehow, here we are, on this submarine again."

Archibald: "So, Yuuki. Do you have an explanation for what happened?"
Yuuki: "I simply followed Colonel Van's orders."
Archibald: "Ah. So you sabotaged the firing mechanism?"
Yuuki: "...I did."

Archibald: "...Well, that's that. At least I have an excuse for the Colonel. But you will be punished, all the same. I have to set an example for the others."
Yuuki: "...Yes, sir."
Archibald: "Then, take him to the brig."

Archibald: (I won't have things end like this. I will have my revenge... on the Hagane, and on you, Shine Hausen...)
