Some hate it, some love it, Tentacool is pretty interesting due to its ridiculously good Special Defense and fairly good Speed. While it might not deal too much damage, it can definitely take it to an impressive degree. Well, it kinda falls over to any physical move, let's be honest, cause its Defense is pretty bad. But it can also hit back with some good STAB in Water. Its Poison typing doesn't do all too much for it aside from making it take less damage from Grass attacks, but you'll be relying on Poison STAB for a little while until you learn the good stuff. And even then, it's only Bubblebeam. So you'll need some help to keep up, but when you do, you'll have some relatively okay power behind it and if not, hey, least you can take a hit or two I guess.
