Aw geez this thing is kinda terrible, I should probably just shove this newborn into the box as soon as possi- OH HEY, didn't see you there. Heh, soooooo, this is our first introduction to baby Pokemon. I'll be honest, they're not all that great, their main purpose is to show off the new breeding mechanic and give their evolutions some egg moves to work with. We don't really have any of that here, as you can probably tell by the two moves it has when it hatches, Growl and Charm, which are completely redundant together. If you want to use it on your team, then you've got a real uphill battle ahead of you. It's only level 5, so catching it up with your team might take some time and you need TMs to make it effective at all, since the only damaging move it learns is at level 38: Double-Edge. Not that it really matters, as it has real bad attacking stats. It's meant to be a defensive Pokemon and its movepool reflects that, but it isn't helped since all its other stats are pretty bad.

It can also be a bit of a hassle to evolve, since there's no real easy way to consistently raise happiness during the main story, so we'll be keeping it around until it's time. And even if you want to use it, with its passable Special Attack, it learns very few Special moves and you'll be waiting around for a while for it to actually do anything. So it's unfortunately going to be only useful for Pokedex entries. I think its design is pretty cool and if you're playing the remakes, then Togekiss is great and definitely worth the team slot, but in its debut gen. Oof. I wish it was better.
