Following on from the fairly useless cocoons is a beautiful, somewhat usable, butterfly. While this Pokemon can only utilize one STAB move (being Gust at level 28), it's honestly a blessing, since goddamn this thing has much better options. It has the occasional Psychic move, some status moves and some Grass moves. Which aren't the best, but it saves it from getting any Bug moves and with a fairly high Special Attack, you'll be good for a little while before everything gets a bit too strong and you start falling behind. You are relying on Confusion for a while and the Grass moves won't be available for a long ass time, so it's not all sunshine. And even the other TMs you learn aren't particularly amazing, especially with that bad Attack. It just doesn't have the right options available to it, so it suffers as a result. Oh well.
