The fiery phoenix rains down on all with its terrifying Attack, excellent special bulk and alright Speed. Very similar layout to Lugia, except Attack and Defense are switched, as well as Special Attack and Speed. Does this matter much? Well, it's a lot more fragile to Rock types. Like, a LOT more, but it will still do so sooooooo much to anything that moves as its high Special Attack lets it make use of its Fire STAB. Unfortunately, the best Flying move it gets is, well, Fly, but it gets an excellent signature move in Sacred Fire. While it's a weaker Fire Blast with more accuracy, it has a 50% chance to Burn, meaning Ho-oh's lower Defense is suddenly a hell of a lot higher. Add in Sunny Day and the opponent might not even survive the hit to get Burned, so it's a very potent nuke. It also has a good movepool to take use of its high offensive stats, such as Thunder, Solarbeam, Earthquake, Shadow Ball, Psychic, etc. Anything you can really need to go all out. Its lower Speed is a bit of a pain, but it can take a few hits, especially if it burns anything on the switch. While Lugia is more reliable, Ho-oh does not take much time to absolutely obliterate anything in its way.
