Meowth analysis
The classy cat is back and compared to last gen, it's pretty damn rubbish. With Speed being its own good stat and critical chance no longer revolving around that stat, it will go first, for sure, but that's about it. No longer does Slash guarantee a crit chance, getting around defensively set up Pokemon, now it's a 25% chance like every other high crit ratio moves. It's not too bad, being able to attack with both attacking stats and having a fairly wide movepool, though the lack of STAB really hurts it. It can't go for a full physically attacking movepool, as it only has 3 notable physical moves of Return or Slash, Shadow Ball and Iron Tail. Guess you can go with a status move then? Its defenses are pretty rubbish, so don't expect it to take hits. Just be nice and fast and hopefully kill something. Maybe?
