Artoria Pendragon (Santa Alter)
Rider
4*/Free servant from the Christmas 2015(JP)/2017(US) event
Debuts in Fate/Stay Night
Originates from a combination of Arthurian mythology and Christian culture

Cards: Quick/Arts/Arts/Buster/Buster

ATK: 1543/9258
HP: 1805/11286

Skills
1. Saint's Gift: Heal an ally for 1500/3500 HP and increase their star generation by 30% for 3 turns (Cooldown: 7/5 Turns)
2. Instinct A: Gain 5/15 stars (Cooldown: 7/5 Turns) (Unlocks after 1st Ascension)
3. Mana Burst A-: Increases own buster card potency by 25/45% for 1 turn (Cooldown: 7/5 Turns) (Unlocks after 3rd Ascension)

Passives
1. Magic Resistance A: Increases own resistance to debuffs by 20%
2. Riding A: Increases quick card potency by 10%

Noble Phantasm
Excalibur Morgan (Buster): Deals damage to enemy party and charges NP gauge (Overcharge: NP charges for 10/30%)

PROS
+Free 4*
+Easy to ascend due to event specific ascension items
+Buster NP Rider and NP LV5 makes her good for killing casters if you don't have Drake or any of the other ones and has a self buster buff helping her bust out more damage
+Star absorption is good
+Healing skill is decent especially with the star gen buff allowing her to help someone get stars for her to eat and let her do crits
+Jingle Bells and KFC

CONS
-Someone at Delight Works had a boner for instinct on Artoria in 2015 and holy shit did they give it to every variation of her that had a sword
-One quick card makes her riding passive seem rather redundant and limits her stargen severely
-Damage output outside of NP is relatively lackluster
-Needs someone to make stars for her making her a very needy DPS
-NP gain sucks despite two arts cards

Overall Opinion: Santa Alter is a fun character in a goofy event with a lot of funny stuff surrounding her. As an actual unit though, she is middling at times bordering on subpar. The fact that she has buffs for her NP to make it stronger and also chain with other busters is good, but it ultimately doesn't mean a ton when a lot of other servants do too and do more beyond that. Santa Alter is fine if you need something to kill casters and find yourself lacking anything else that can do that job better or if you like the character a lot, but she is incredibly one dimensional in her uses.

Shiki Ryogi
Assassin
4*/Free servant from the Garden of Order event
Debuts in Fate/Extra
Originates from Kara No Kyokai: The Garden of Sinners

Cards: Quick/Quick/Arts/Arts/Buster

ATK: 1477/8867
HP: 1768/11055

Skills
1. Mystic Eyes of Death Perception: Pierce invulnerability, buffs own art cards by 30/50%, and reduces enemy instant death resistance by 80/100% for 1 turn. (Cooldown: 7/5 Turns)
2. Eye of the Mind (False) A: 1-turn evasion and buffs own crit damage by 20/40% for 3 turns (Cooldown: 8/6 Turns) (Unlocks after 1st Ascension)
3. Yin Yang B: Charges own NP gauge by 20/30% (Demerit: Deals 1000 damage to self, hp cannot fall below 1 from this) (Cooldown: 8/6 Turns) (Unlocks after 3rd ascension)

Passives
1. Presence Concealment B: Increases stargen rate by 6%
2. Independent Action A: Increases own crit damage by 10%

Noble Phantasm
Yuishiki - Mystic Eyes of Death Perception (Arts): Single-target attack that ignores defense and has a chance to inflict instant death (Overcharge: Instant death chance increases 100/140%)

PROS
+NP gain is good with arts focus and third skill
+Stargen is pretty decent
+Damage output with crits and NP is very strong thanks to np lv 5 being so easy to get
+Evasion
+NP ignores defense and can inflict instant death
+Kara no kyokai is the god

CONS
-Is squishy
-Damage is not great against non-riders/berserkers with normal attacks and even crits drop off a decent amount
-Star absorption is not great and requires a LOT of stars to give her a good chance at absorbing them or teammates with worse star absorb
-Instant death is incredibly gimmicky and is redundant in most cases. It doesn't proc on most bosses, it'll kill anything Ryogi is strong against through the damage alone, and regular enemies of any type sans maybe casters will die to the damage too. The best chance you have of proccing it is against big enemies of other classes that she doesn't have any advantage or disadvantage against and even then you're still fighting the RNG to kill this thing.
-The KNK event is getting close to two years old and it hasn't been rerun once since it happened. If you miss out on her the first time, you may be waiting a long time to get a chance at her again.

Overall Opinion: Shiki is great. Her damage output is deceptively high for an assassin with an average attack stat, she's able to fire off NPs constantly in arts based teams, and if you can get her crit damage consistently she can be a very competent and reliable dps. She struggles with actually absorbing the stars though so you may need CEs that buff her absorb rate to get that decently and her damage potential drops off of a decent amount if she is only able to rely on normal attacks.

Dress of Heaven (Irisviel von Einzbern
Caster
4*/Free servant from the Fate/Accel Zero Order event
Debuts in Fate/Zero
Originates from Germany

Cards: Quick/Arts/Arts/Arts/Buster

ATK: 1372/8237
HP: 1996/12476

Skills
1. Resolution of Commitment A: Increases own healing potency by 30/50% for 1 turn (Cooldown: 9/7 Turns)
2. Infant of Nature A: Invincibility for 1 turn and increases own np gen rate by 20/30% for 3 turns (Cooldown: 8/6 Turns) (Unlocks after 1st Ascension)
3. Magic Medicine A: Heal one ally's hp for 2000/3000hp (Cooldown: 7/5 Turns) (Unlocks after 3rd Ascension)

Passives
1. Territory Creation B:Increases damage of arts cards by 8%
2. Goddess' Essence C: Increases damage by 200 and resistance to debuffs by 20%

Noble Phantasm
Song of Grail (Arts): Heal the party for 2000/3000hp and also grants guts on it too for 3 turns (Overcharge: Increases the amount of health guts grants upon revival by 1000/3000hp)

PROS
+Good NP gain
+Great on stall teams thanks to NP effecting the whole party
+An easily obtainable healer for if you don't have Medea Lily or another alternative

CONS
-Damage is awful
-Her first skill has a ridiculously long cooldown for what it is and only lasts 1 turn and isn't that potent for her healing unless maxed out
-Third skill being her only healing outside of NP limits her ability to sustain the team
-Her uses on teams are very limited because she is not a great healer on her own, she needs another healer or at least another arts to user to effectively sustain a team basically making most teams she's on stall teams
-The potency of her skills needs to be maxed to be remotely effective, making her a very hungry servant that will eat through a lot of resources to bring her to an acceptable level
-She has a similar rarity to Shiki where she hasn't had her event rerun at all since it happened almost two years ago

Overall Opinion: Iri isn't terrible, but she's hardly optimal. A healer with a single-target heal that needs to be at max level to get 1000 more HP is not a benefit. She's hungry for materials, but her skills hardly get much better when levelled up, you are basically doing it to reduce cooldowns. Where Iri shines is on arts teams and stall teams. She can gain Np incredibly easily on both and help the team survive bad wipeouts from AOE NPs or any random shenanigans that could occur through guts and if there is a second healer they can immediately follow up with a party heal to bring up back up to snuff. Iri's got her niche uses that make her acceptable, but if you need a healer, something like Medea Lily might be worth trying to get at some point while Iri holds you over.

Sakata Kintoki
Rider
4*/Free servant from the Onigashima event
Debuts in Fate/Grand Order
Originates from Kintaro

Cards: Quick/Quick/Arts/Buster/Buster

ATK: 1636/9819
HP: 1728/10800

Skills
1. Thousand Mile Sprint A: Buff own quick cards by 20/30% and star gen by 30/50% for 3 turns. (Cooldown: 7/5 Turns)
2. Animal Dialogue C: Charges own NP gauge by 30/50% (Cooldown: 8/6 Turns) (Unlocks after 1st Ascension)
3. Natural Body A: Increases own attack debuff resistance by 60/120% for 3 turns and heals self for 1000/3000hp (Cooldown: 7/5 Turns) (Unlocks after 3rd Ascension)

Passives
1. Divinity C: Increases damage by 150

Noble Phantasm
Golden Drive - Good Night (Quick): Extremely powerful single-target attack and increases own quick card potency for 1 turn that activates before the NP does damage (Overcharge: Increases the potency of the quick card buff by 10/90%)

PROS
+Damage output is absurdly high thanks to how easy it is for him to get crit damage with his stargen skill and absorption and then you factor in NP it's just ridiculous
+To put it in scale how powerful his NP is here is everything a normal Kintoki will have assuming you've gotten everything from the event for him
-A Quick-Card self buff that lasts for three turns and can be between 20-30% buffed
-Level 5 Noble Phantasm that grants 2000% damage modifier on the NP regardless of overcharge
-Quick-card self buff that activates from the NP before it starts doing damage that can be 10, 30, 50, 70, or 90 percent depending on how high the overcharge you got is and he can reach 300% on his own thanks to NP Level 5
-Almost 10k atk stat, almost 12k if you grail him
-If the enemy is caster or berserker it doubles the damage from all of the above
-Assassins and rulers are the only things that could potentially mitigate the damage enough to not get stomped by it, but even then it is still a good amount of damage
+Gains NP at a decent rate now due to not being solely buster focused and his attack animations having a higher hit count and he still has the NP charge from his berserker skillset
+Still has two buster cards meaning his crits can hit super hard outside of quick cards and if you wanna buster buff him, he's gonna get two cards that will still fuck their day up
+Has his self heal still and is no longer suffering from berserker weaknesses which heavily strengthens his sustainability
+Is the love child of Dante, Terry Bogard, Kamen Rider, and a fetish for Biker Culture.

CONS
-His sustain is better than when he was a berserker, but his health is lower now at 10k making him somewhat squishy still especially against his weaknesses
-Quick servants are severely lacking a support
-I am trying to think of other cons I can make up, but I really can't. There is too much value in him for what is a free servant at 4 stars. I guess his NP gain isn't the most godlike it can be, but even then it's still pretty good for a dude with one art card.

Overall Opinion: So if it isn't obvious by now, Rider Kintoki is fucking absolutely amazing and is absolutely a must to get. If not for his crazy ass utility as a DPS Rider, then for his amazing amount of personality and goofiness. He's basically Berserker Kintoki on steroids, ironically. His NP is insanely powerful, his regular attacks are strong and he gets critical stars and damage very handily. He survive for a decent bit longer than when he was a Berserker and his NP gain is pretty good. I can't recommend the dude enough especially since he's so damn fun as a character he puts a smile on your face.
