Ok, so Nanna is actually pretty great. First of all, she's the only healer that team Lenster has in Chapter 7. Secondly, she's got surprisingly good combat; to the point where she's actually more helpful for MBandit killing than Leaf is right now. Thirdly, she gives 10% Hit and Evade to everyone within 3 spaces of her with Charisma. And finally, she can outright void her entire part of the map, if you wanted to. Give her the Return Ring and Return Staffs, have her Return Fin and Leaf to the home castle, have her Return HERSELF, and bam! Problem solved.

And no, losing Lenster will not cause a game-over. It won't drop your Tactics rank. In fact, it is actively helpful to let it be taken, as you can get a free 1000G for everyone by retaking it with Celice. And while Nanna isn't necessary for doing that, she can make that a whole lot easier. I don't remember whether or not I do that myself, but; there's a very good chance I will in the next update or two.

Besides that, she also starts off as your only mounted healer. Everyone else is either foot-locked, or needs to promote in order to get those staves. Combine that with her decent combat, and you've got a unit with an astounding amount of versatility. I don't personally ever need her that much; but that's only because I know how to break this game over my knee with other OP units.

Therefore, I would compare her to Kibito Kai (the combined form of West Supreme Kai and Kibito). Her primary use is to heal other people while getting other people to and from places really quickly; but she can also perform well in battle. She's never going to challenge any of the really nasty customers; but that's irrelevant. She's fine exactly where she is.
