Dear diary,Todat was certainly a day full of surprises and misinformation. Following a girlish cry for help we went to aid the sorceresses. To my surprise, their capital was in a swamp next to the sea. At first I was really confused, their expertise is naval navigation, why didn’t they live on an island? On further study I think what we have here is what happens when you first sink land into the sea and later raise it back up. The history books tell us that Queen Lamanda’s castle was on a grassy peninsula surrounded by a large forest maze.

When lord Ironfist attacked she sank part of the island to keep herself safe. This went well. I assume that afterwards she raised the land back, causing the water to flood the nearby lands creating swamps.
Well anyway, I saved some dwarves, again, and they were quite helpful. Again.
We also ran into the “dreaded” necromancer Wyrm. I really don’t know how he managed to get famous. Sure, he could cast a pretty lightning bolt, but that seems to have been the extent of his abilities.
Well, at least the danger has passed and the Phoenixes are saved.
Roland has sent me another missive. It’s a difficult one. Here, let me transcribe it for you:

The good news of course is that the sorceresses are now sending us legions of powerful magic users for our army. I have a feeling that the rest of the war is going to be easy. But for now we have to make a decision.
