I tried very hard to not make a joke about being a professional let's player or streamer. I failed, but I want you all to appreciate the effort.

Somewhere over the ocean, a sky portal opens up.

And immediately it starts vomiting harpies all over the landscape.

Just thousands of harpies.

Then something else starts falling from the sky portal.

This sleeping dragon gets pooped out of the portal too.

Not gonna lie, I would not be happy to wake up and discover that I was plummeting rapidly out of the sky while surrounded by angry bird women.

I can't imagine how high up he dropped out considering that he has enough time to stretch like this.

Our dragon friend here is apparently hungry. He snaps up several harpies that wander near his mouth.

The flock heads towards land...

The game then prompts us to create our character. You have quite a lot of options available, and I'm not gonna spend any time dwelling on it. If you're interested, this documentary covers character creation nicely.

Instead I'm just going to jump to the end.

Meet Nesira. She'll be our character for the LP. Probably. I did install a mod that lets me change the main character pretty much at will. All I have to do is hit Manual on the main menu. But I'm pretty happy with her.

She's also not a tiny, petite thing either. She's 180.5cm and 78kg, or in Freedom Units that's ~5'11 and ~172 pounds. So, y'know, fairly solidly built!

It seems the horde from earlier has found Nesira's village.

What a happy village. The children are laughing and playing.

Nesira comes walking by and stops to look at the shore.

Welcome to Cassardis, the fishing village.

It's a boring place.

The prophets 'ave spoken, friends! The dragon's return is nigh!

Nesira couldn't care less about whatever the Duke's men are blabbing about.

Meet Quina, Nesira's childhood friend.

Something just happened, but nobody is quite sure what.

These two are about five seconds from leaving.

It's -- it's the dragon!

All the villagers run to see if it's really the dragon.

And, right on cue, here he comes!

The dragon doesn't particularly like the village's display of stonemasonry.

The large pillar flies at the assembled group...

Then skips off the sand and smashes into one of the buildings.

The dragon roars at the village...

And then completely smashes their docks. The dragon is kind of a dick.

Despite being nowhere near the landing zone, these two stouthearted soldiers promptly shit themselves and run off.

But not before one of them drops their sword!

The water that the dragon displaced when he dropped into it rains all over the village.

And most of the townspeople, rightfully, run off after the guards. Because there's a fucking dragon attacking their village!

Quina, to her credit, stays behind and tries to keep the children safe.

Nesira, meanwhile...

Spies an opportunity.

She's either suicidal or brave, charging at a dragon with nothing but some tattered clothes and an iron sword.

There were a bunch of people cowering in front of the dragon.

Were.

Hey dragon. Fuck you.

The dragon barely seems to register Nesira's presence.

This lets her climb onto its back and start stabbing!

After a few strikes...

There's no faulting Nesira's bravery...

Just her results.

It's gotta hurt getting open palm smacked by a dragon.

It's probably not a good thing that she just got his undivided attention with that little palm stab.

Nesira's made of some pretty tough stuff. Even after that strike, she's still clinging to consciousness.

*says something in latin*

Nesira recovers from her stunning just in time to hear Grigori's speech.

I don't think our girl is holding up too well, y'all.

The dragon seems to have skewered her heart on his nail.

*continues chanting in latin*

It's kind of impressive that he managed to disconnect it from her circulatory system so cleanly.

As he's chanting, the heart starts glowing cherry red.

Despite having had a vital organ removed via impromptu surgery, our girl Nesira is holding up remarkably well. By which I mean she's somehow still alive.

That's... not good.

And the dragon just ate her heart.
