Well, it's not so much "believes" as "knows I can reload the savestate I made before accepting the side quest if this goes to hell" but you can believe whatever makes you sleep better at night.

Beyard is as much of a non-boss as he is a non-character. He has an iron lance.
The thief who usually comes in with a lockpick still has one. This is a Problem. But, it is also a free lockpick if we can prevent him from looting the chest. With our movement ranges, that shouldn't be a problem. The other one, in the chest room, doesn't have one.
This mage
packed an extra fire tome. It pays to be careful!
Could be nice to steal that, but I have more important things to nab.

another Lyn lord with a Mani Katti before I can do that!

Again, Florina and Heath pair up to take on the sword user inside. This is a very, very strange Florina... aside from the con. That's spot on.

The off-colour Rebecca duel
results in more speed for our boy Lucius.
Eliwood comes out on top, too.

With the thief gone, Ninian's exposed, but she's god enough not to be too worried. Although I would have liked a healer...

Heath starts with a 5-use chest key, so I had him loot the chest since Ninian's inventory is full.
It's heavy. Hector might enjoy it, though.
Priscilla is so buff, it's amazing.
