24: Kishu-nah

Pretty simple setup this time around, but this is a side chapter.

That doesn't mean we can't do fun things, though! Lucius looks great as a sniper, and unlike Dorcas gets some really good boosts out of it - that 3 str patches up his biggest flaw quite handily - but

just like Dorcas, it comes at a price. As such, I didn't actually do that. Three points of movement are more valuable than three points of strength!

Back to the map, Ninian and Guy bicker about nonexistent armour, and Matthew does something right for once and shuts them up.

Hey that's an archer.

Very much an archer!

And his goons.

Matthew and Guy have a chat about Guy's low res, but Guy basically goes "killing time now" and runs off.

I'm with Guy on this one.

So our archer friend

is not actually an archer and instead yet another 1-locked harmless boss... you might think, until you see that 1-2 under Rng.

Yes, the iron blade is a ranged sword! It's pretty strong, too, although quite heavy.

Above him, we have three fliers with axereavers. The other enemies aren't anything to write home about; couple of steels, mostly irons and emblem weapons.

Let's kill them all!

Them all, I say!

...I completely missed this guy having a steel sword. Well, it's the first round so eh.

Sain killed him. From a distance.

I brought Nils, thinking I could maybe make him decent since these guys aren't very dangerous.

We'll get there!

Bow weaknesses incoming!

I have two bards.

That means three turns for Lucius.

And some stats, too.

Ninian hit up the whatever the hell that is.

This is... Renault? I think??

And he gives us a nice toy!

Fucking finally. I've used more than half my heal staff, but I got a mend as well so we should be fine.

And then!

This guy is such a smug prick and it's always great to see him panic. Sucks to be yooouuuu~!

Meanwhile,

goddamn you are benched so hard

Nino, meanwhile, does much better.

And at this point I basically sighed and resigned myself to and Eliwood-less existence. I have good units I could be bringing.

Here's one of them.

Nino's rampage continued.

We're getting close to these guys, so

let's take a look. Kishuna is so fucking fast. He can't attack, but have fun with his 48 avoid.

His cronies are... I'm pretty sure much weaker than usual?

This bow's might is kinda trash! But it doesn't matter - as you can see from the non-existent attack, yes, it's yet another Eclipse weapon!

Also trash. I thought I boosted enemy growths! What is this?! I'm starting to regret listening to you guys telling me not to do hard mode

This one is somewhat strong, but that is still a devil weapon on a 0 luck enemy.

And the Lyn for completion's sake.

Aion isn't super threatening. Even Serra would survive a round.

But I don't like those numbers too much so Nino got started instead.

We also get started on Kishuna's posse.

Good.

I almost feel sorry for them.

And the emblem axe guy did indeed devil himself so Serra could finish him off.

I will admit eclipse weapons can be useful!

Kishuna does have a combat animation, which just contains him dodging.

I'm not sure why it's not used.

Nino chipped for another level

and Hector finished but didn't get anything for it.

We're done!

We're fine.

Guy and Ninian make up.

And since I did not grind Erk to level 7 in the prologue, which is a fucking stupid requirement that should make some game developer very ashamed, we do not get the side-side chapter 19xx here. Maybe I should have. But also, I don't really care, so! On the next episode of Ninian's Bizarre Randomizer,

It gets interesting.
