Uh...Leif? It's time for chapter 12.

My fatigue is too high. You go instead.

Huh? What are you talking about? You don't have a fatigue meter, you're in every chapter.

EXACTLY! Nobody takes the time to think about MY fatigue for once!

Well, look, I'd love to sub in for you, but I've been fatigued too.

Fine. Fine! Let's see what good old Super Thracia has for us today.

ARRRGH!

It's okay, Leif, we can get through it.

...You're right. Just because the map theme is the game over music doesn't mean anything bad can happen. Nanna, please light us up. And everyone can re-mount now, by the way.

Looks...fairly normal.

How convenient that I was staying in the forest Leif conveniently passes through!

Wish I wasn't forced to waste this exceedingly rare weapon, though.

Dammit!

It's okay, she was just captured. We'll get her and all the items back.

Hope that house had nothing important, because I'm sure not resetting for it.

Well finally I'm level 20.

Does that mean something important?

Of course it does! I get to promote now. Got a Knight Crest?

You're a cavalier with a sword. I don't really see what good it'll do.

Come on, Leif, you've gotta promote everyone as soon as they're level 20, right?

I'll spend my Knight Crests on people who it will benefit most.

Come on, please?

Fine. Here, you're promoted to Boot Polisher.

Oh look at that, your axe problem is fixed, this was so worth it! Not.

That's not the good part. Look here!

What the fuck? That's completely awesome! It's like you're a flier!

Told you this was worth it.

Who keeps giving enemies these Devil Axes? They could have had Killer Axes and it would have been more impressive.

W-w-wait shouldn't you get rid of him in case he hits m- I mean someone? I-I mean--

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

Fin. For crying out loud, it backfired on him, you're not damaged.

It's still so distressing!

There appears to be absolutely nothing here. That's strange. Hm. I hope I'm not missing anything important on the other side of the map.

Where the hell are they?!

Oh look, he thinks he can shoot ME. Ha!

Hey I've never seen that map sprite before. I wonder who that--

TINA NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Tina's a zombie? Well shit I guess we can't use the Thief or Unlock staves now.

Actually I looked this up, Unlock isn't locked to Tina. But still, it kind of--

WHAT IS THAT WEAPON!?

The Ibicella Lutea, it is called.

Beg your pardon?

It means "Devil's Horn". It's a kind of flower that kills insects but is not carnivorous.

I was asking about the weapon, not the kind of flowers I'm buying Linhardt for his birthday.

Right, right. It's a sword with 50 accuracy and 200 might. Basically instant death, of course Tina only has 1 move and the weapon is 1 range, so you could just pelt her with Javelins.

Huh. That's...less threatening than I was hyping it up to be. But it'd be epic in our hands!

Well, only enemies can use it, but we can still take it. For collection purposes I guess.

So much for the chapter gimmick. Then again, Arden wasn't a threat in Chapter 1 so it could be that this enemy type will be used against us later on...pray that never happens.

Now if only I could use Meteor, I'd literally be Sturm from Advance Wars.

How can that thing be a sword, anyways? It...well it hardly looks like a weapon at all, honestly.

I thought there was supposed to be a Magic Ring here if I visited this house specifically! Oh well.

Took you long enough! Help me capture Salem!

Who are you, again?

Can't imagine Salem being useful, but I think you have to capture him to get 12x. Then again there is the issue of this game's sidequest track record...fine, let's do it.

I totally didn't save state until I got the desired result. I can't remember but wasn't Salem unarmed in the vanilla game?

Well, that's that.

Hey look, I found out what the Ibicella Lutea is good for!

OH MAMA.
