: Become? I've always been like this, since the day I was born. The Xaya you knew never even existed.
: It can't be...
: Yup, I've been using you since the very beginning. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a vision to make a reality. Are you watching, Finnigan? Watch as I become a perfect being!
: Well, Finnigan, what will it be? Will you kill me...?
: Or will I kill you?

It's go time. From this point on, any dialogue with an asterisk next to it should be assumed to be additions I've added for your viewing pleasure.
*: Then perish, avatar of Moosh.
Like so.
Xaya is easily the hardest boss in the game, and she deserves it as she's the final boss. She'll zoom around the battlefield and use all the powers of Akuma at her disposal.
*: Oh darkest of stars, lend my avatar your strength!
*: Xaya, stop! You don't need to listen to Akuma!
*: Oh my dear, ignorant Finnigan, Xaya has always been nothing more than an aspect, an extension, of my grand power.
*: That's a lie! I know she's still in there!
*: I'd almost say I'm touched you think so highly of my act, but a god knows nothing less than perfection.
Xaya can summon bouncing stars to flood the battlefield. They linger for a bit, so be careful not to run into them while dodging her other attacks.
*: Survived that? Let's fix that.
*: Servant of the dark! Come forth and let your blood paint this room red!
She can summon forth enemies and then immediately sacrifice them to fill the room with bullet hell blood. Kill the enemy quickly to prevent her from doing that!
*: Xaya, please...
*: Enough of your pleading.
*: I'll cut you down where you stand, along with everyone in the village! The stars will be blocked out by the wave of darkness I'll bring!
*: Why... Why must you do this?
*: Because I'm Akuma, Finnigan. This world will be covered in darkness, and I'll enjoy every morsel of a second while doing so!
*: But enough of this. I tire of you.
*: I'm sorry, Finnigan, but now I must be blender.
THIS ATTACK.
This attack is her strongest attack, and is a nightmare to dodge. It can singlehandedly kill you if you suck at dodging it. My advice is to move clockwise around her and keep moving.
*: Okay... If this is what you want, then fine.
*: I don't care who you think you are! Even if the Xaya I knew never existed, I won't let you tarnish her name! I'll seal you, just like how Moosh sealed you once before! Taste his staff, you jerk!
*: ...I might have made a huge mistake.
When Xaya surrounds herself with darkness, she and all her attacks get faster and stronger. Use the bow of light to dispel this darkness before it gets out of hand.
*: You think you're special? I'm the demon of blood, Finnigan! I have reincarnated many times through my avatars! The Xaya you knew was nothing more than just another husk in a line of many for me to inhabit!
*: I don't care.
*: And you? You were the weakest possible candidate to inherit the power of Moosh. You danced in the palm of my hand, going off the words of your so-called "friend", all to fulfill my ambitions. How laughably pathetic!
*: I. don't. care! I don't need Moosh's power to defy you, to save Xaya! I have you on the ropes using nothing but my own skill! Now take this!
*: AGH!

: She is Akuma. She cannot be saved.
: That may be so, but I'll keep trying anyways. Because I know the Xaya I knew is still in there somewhere.
: In that case...
: N-no! It can't be! This host is resisting my control...?
: No matter. A puppet that cuts its strings is destined only to fall.
: Ah... This feeling. How... pleasant it is to be whole once more...
: Moosh has fused with Akuma? What is the meaning of this?
: So you still haven't figured it out?
: At times we are Moosh, at times we are Akuma. The two are one and the same, two halves of one being.
: We are the ancient darkness, the blood god Kumakuma. We wished to make an unending cycle of heroism and corruption so we might feed on the bloodshed that follows.
: Now that the two of you know this, you can't be allowed to live.
: Let the rays of darkness blot out the sun. Despair and perish!
: Finnigan! Kumakuma's control over me is gone. I will assist you.
: Let's face this darkness together!

: I'll charge up a ball of light magic. When it's fully charged, shoot a light arrow through it at him.
: Don't get hit, though, or I'll lose the spell.
Kumakuma is much easier than Xaya. If you're weak from the aftermath of Xaya's fight, though, they can still kill you, and you'll have to redo the fight with Xaya.
*: A god knows no limits. Behold the power of Haribo.
*: Let the fires of hell consume you.
*: Forbidden tech: Blood rain! May you all drown in a sea of red.
*: Hold on, I never had a blood rain tech!
*: The power and knowledge of deities far surpass the limits of mortals. Behold the power of forbidden techniques only a god can have!
*: Forbidden tech: Budget Touhou!
*: Finnigan, stop getting hit! I'm losing my focus!
*: I'm trying, thanks!
*: Fear my true power. Ultimate Wind Tech!
*: Now!
*: Gah! You dare harm a god, mortal?
*: Then perish.
*: Forbidden tech: Light of the Heavens! Succumb to the darkness within your hearts, and despair!

: What? How? How could we be beaten by mere humans!?
: We humans are a tenacious bunch. We don't give into despair so easily.
: And when we set our minds to something, we do our best no matter the odds stacked against us.
: But you lack that capacity. You think only of feeding and gaining power. You had nothing to fight for, even your very existence was empty. You fought for nobody and nothing but yourself.
: In the end, this was destined to happen.
: W-what are you saying? We are... I... am... Kumakuma the blood... god... Limits... those are for mortals!
: A god should not... have... limits!
: But you do, and you are no god. It is your arrogance that led you to believe you were.
: This arrogance was your undoing.

: And so Finnigan and Xaya returned triumphantly to the Village of Moosh to tell of their victory over Kumakuma.
: When they arrived, they were greeted by all the villagers who,Akuma's curse having been lifted, could now walk normally again.
: Upon the news that Moosh and Akuma were actually the same being, the villagers changed the name of the village to Hylum.
: And as for the Moosh statue...
: They made some improvements.
