Welcome to the Creator's Realm.

Lumen: I'd turn back now if I were you. Beyond this point is sacred ground. Should you tresspass upon it, we, servants of the creator will not hesitate to strike you down.

Lumen is a character from Isle of Rebirth (the quest that inspired this quest), so she has a cameo here.

More beamo-

(this sfx plays)

Wallmaster beamos. Lovely.

Over to the left now.

That beamos only shoots lasers, but it'll still knock you off the small moving platform, so watch out.

Oh joy.

I'm gonna call these angel knight monstrosities "Death Lumens". They're mean. They have energy balls rotating around them, are shielded in front, and charge at you if you line up with them cardinally. They deal a lot of damage too.

Heading over to the le-

Never mind, a Death Lumen killed me.

Confirmed Deaths: 40

Let's try that again.

Bingo. A compass.

Heading upstairs now, let's he-

Never mind, a Death Lumen killed me.

Confirmed Deaths: 41

Let's try that again.

Well, this room looks dreadful.

Oh, and the peahat homes in on you and explodes. Just lovely.

This room is on a timer as well; that trap on the left slowly moves down before it blocks off the exit to the room, so playing slow and careful isn't an option.

Playing fast and loose on the other hand gets you killed.

Confirmed Deaths: 42

Second time's the charm?

That's a lot of pots.

A surprise under each one! It's like each one is a kinder egg!

Kinder surprise: only instead of toys it's either a 1 heart damage pit, a room-resetting portal, or nothing!

Oh, and I guess a switch that opens the door, but that's neither surprising nor painful so it doesn't count.

Uhhhhh

Oh, these pits aren't 1 heart! They just drop you down to the floor below... on top of 4 heart damage spikes.

Confirmed Deaths: 43

More wallmasters! Only... these ones rocket out of the walls straight ahead. And the bounce off bumpers too, flying at angles. Bouncy, back-to-the-start-of-the-dungeon fun!

And that opens that door. We can warp over there with the kunai as well!

Well this looks ominous.

Oooh, a bridge! Let's cro-

...cross it. It fell out from under me and landed down here. Rude!

At least we have a new path that's open early on!

Oh hello friend!

...That is not friend

Takes a few tries, and for killing it we get nothing but leftover wind, which is frozen now that it's gone and because it never reaches the screen edge, will softlock you if you enter it.

Another corridor. Xaya can speed over all these spikes without having to wait for them, or you can just teleport to the center and wait it out. Heading north is free.

Another friend? Hi frien-

Patra.mp3

Not friend! Not friend!

...That was also not a friend

Confirmed Deaths: 44

How naive of me for thinking it was.

Confirmed Deaths: 47

I let myself get cornered here.

Confirmed Deaths: 48

The correct solution is the same as any other problem:

Nuke it from orbit.

Patra has the map!

Oh what the hell.

This death represents how I feel inside seeing this garbage.

Confirmed Deaths: 49

I made sure everything else that was in the room (keyword: was) felt my pain on my return.

These torches can be blown out!

I succeed... but at what cost?

Confirmed Deaths: 50

Out of the frying pan and into the fire, it seems.

Ranged is, as always, the best option.

It seems we're going down the rabbit hole of enemy spam!... I'll see myself out.

Kunai instakill the rabbits, btw.

Hitting all 4 switches opens these bridges.

What a tantalizing chest! Too bad we can't reach it from here.

South yields a bit more, but I'm going to hold off on going upstairs until we see a bit more of this floor.

Hitting the switch on the left will create a bridge across the southern pit; We'll see that in a bit.

Finally, let's see where left goes!

...Rude.

I suppose that's my fault for not checking the map. It seems like we'll need to come from the floor above to reach that locked door and the chest we saw earlier, so I'll keep that in mind for later.

Heading south from here instead...

More rabbits!

Okay Ben.

The pots have spikes under them! Add that to the Kinder Egg surprise list of pain.

There's the bridge I activated earlier.

Oh, I want nothing to do with you hellspawn.

Hmm, tempting to take a plunge, but not this time.

Hi, welcome to Hell: Wallmaster department! All your return to start needs can be found here.

Oh god not another one of you.

Confirmed Deaths: 51

The turret automatically wakes up the Patra, cause why not. At least I made it across!

And a wallmaster killed me.

Confirmed Deaths: 52

I put in effort to kill them all before I attempt that patra room again.

Good! I made it across.

Time to take a leap of faith.

Haven't seen this room yet.

Blowing out the torches sadly doesn't do anything.

Oh, come on!

I hate you game.

Attempt 2.

Okay, good. I made it, and I don't have to do all that again.

Now for treasure!

Only a key for that trouble.

A key and 4 heart damage spikes.

Confirmed Deaths: 53

Let's go explore the upper floor.

Not dealing with that bumper nonsense. I'm heading north.

And north from here as well. I want to find the room above the chest we couldn't get earlier.

More pots! Seems like it's another maze.

Hmm? Why does that panel not have debris on it?

Oh caress!

We dodge it and manage to find... a pit!

...And then immediately walk into the portal above us like a dummy.

Thankfully it only resets the room!

Aha! You do have to fall from above. But first...

Secrets

... let's just get this over with.

Another key!

We teleport past the spikes...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymPpIzaanhY

...

Oh hey, we're on the other side of this pit now! Yay!

I didn't notice it at the time, but that lockblock revealed a Kunai tile that's a minor shortcut.

Oh hell no! I'm out of here!

Suspicious amount of pots...

...Why am I not surprised.

We can nuke one of them without waking the other, but we run out of bombs doing so.

Fire rod is a good alternative.

I killed the center before killing all the outer eyes, so the remaining one just flies around and shoots wind and lasers at you.

Fun fact, you used to be able to position over the pit very slightly to be in range to teleport to that kunai tile, skipping a large portion of the dungeon. I see they patched that out.

A switch?

The switch activates a portal back to the start.

And using our other key to the north reveals the boss door. We've found the boss, now we just need it's key.

The portal back to the start is also two-way, so now we have a shortcut straight to the topmost floor! Halfway done, it seems!
