Game 3: Friege @ Hoshido

Let’s check in on my favorite bad team, shall we?

Hoshido has been absolutely terrible this season, even with solid years from both Takumi and Hinoka. It’s astounding how inept they have been, considering how strong their rivals have been in Nohr.

Against this solid Friege team, it started pretty positively. Julius got a quick start for the Thunder:

But the Honor of Hoshido kept everyone else quiet, and the whole team started scoring as a unit:

A 7-0 run ended with a brutal posterizing dunk by Takumi:

The quarter would end with Friege up 2, 21-19.

The Thunder would take control of the game in the 2nd quarter, mostly on the back of MVP candidate Ishtar:

She scored 17 points in the 2nd quarter, and Friege dominated the 2nd to lead at halftime, 50-33.

The 3rd quarter started with a strange foul from Reinhardt, which almost got him ejected:

The technical foul would get momentum on Hoshido’s side for a moment:

But the team looked hapless, and the coach didn’t look much better:

Fizzzzzzzzz

The momentum that Hoshido had was shortlived, as Friege gained control again:

And with the quarter tied 20-20, a random npc extended the Thunder’s lead:

Friege kept their huge lead going into the 4th, 72-53.

Ishtar got one more shot in the 4th, but the Thunder decided to sit the team for most of the 4th, attempting to keep the starting lineup healthy for once:

In this way, Hoshido cut into the lead a little:

But in the end, the pace wasn’t enough to make the game interesting, and Friege would beat Hoshido, 86-72.

C’mon Hoshido.
