Game 5: Valm @ Fhirdiad

Why do we play these games? Just to suffer?

Is Valm even a real team? Do they even have a coach? If they do, he must be trying to punish them.

He refuses to start Cervantes, Phares, or Yen’fay, which is just…

Why.

Cervantes would score the most points for Valm in this game:

However, Fhirdiad was in full championship mode, and things were ugly from the get-go:

A dunk at the end of the quarter made the 1st quarter a little more respectable, as Valm struggled early and Fhirdiad took a 12-35 lead.

Things didn’t get much better for Valm in the 2nd:

In fact, it got so bad, that things began to get heated:

And nothing seemed to go right:

Fhirdiad would extend their lead at the half: 39-68.

Valm had a solid showing in the 2nd half, starting with some good defense:

They held Fhirdiad to a slow start, and got within 20 points before:

All that work, destroyed in minutes.

Valm would fall behind, 58-88.

The 4th quarter was mostly meaningless:

But the important thing to take away is that Fhirdiad, after a critical loss to Almyra, and looking really really vulnerable in the last couple of weeks, looked like the championship winning team they were last year.

Fhirdiad dominates, 80-113.
