Game 3: Garreg Mach @ Nuvelle

Nuvelle and Garreg Mach have the 5th and 3rd best offenses in the league respectively, and if you just saw the 1st quarter of the game, you would assume that the game would end in a 120-110 game or something.

Here comes Rhea, now known throughout the league as ‘The Bulldozer’.

Shamir is still injured, which actually leaves the All Star 3 point contestants unknown. It also leaves Garreg Mach’s whole backcourt in shambles, as there really isn’t a secondary 3 point threat at the same level.

Enter … Flayn?

No… Flayn is a better passer than shooter…

Nuvelle would actually take advantage of this initial confusion and pull out a 10-5 lead early.

… make that 13-5.

Flayn once again showed no fear, and launched another 3.

Both of these teams would end the quarter tied at 20. And this is when things got ugly.

Rhea earned 3 fouls in addition to her 1st foul earlier in the game, and was benched for the remainder of the half. (This was 4 minutes in, so you know things are going to get sloppy.)

… Seteth could replace Shamir. He’s slower and less dynamic, but he hits 3s.

Oh… the 2nd quarter is over already? The score is… 37-36 Garreg Mach? Huh.

… How about Hanneman? He’s old, inefficient, and …

… okay, that’s a maybe.

Oh, it’s now… 55-47 Garreg Mach. This game is absurdly low scoring. How is Garreg Mach shooting so far-

O-okay… Oh… Rhea and Catherine both fouled out… Regina George too…

We’re at the end of the 4th quarter. Nuvelle and Garreg Mach both can’t seem to score. It’s 61-56, and we have about 2 minutes to go.

….? A glimmer of hope? Maybe Yuri Leclerc is the shooting guard of the future?

Nuvelle would get the final score of the game, but they would lose one of the weirdest games I’ve seen so far.

Garreg Mach wins? 66-61.

Oh, I wonder how that Enbarr-Albinea game went? I feel bad for Albinea, they had a hard draw this we-
