Game 4: Leicester @ Fhirdiad

I lovingly call this game “Leonie vs the World”

Just look at her go!

Note to self: Marianne is also very good.

Fhirdiad let Leicester get a 8-0 lead, and had to call a quick timeout. I thought this game would be dominated by the Golden Deer.

Oh what a fool I was.

It was time for the Boar Prince:

14 points, 8 rebounds, 1 block, all in the 1st quarter.

And he wasn’t alone:

Dedue and Hapi both contributed in a huge point swing for Fhirdiad, which saw them go from 8-0 to 18-30!

Dimitri would annihilate the rim, making it 18-32.

Leonie would put in a 3 right at the end of the quarter to make the lead a little smaller:

Fhirdiad would lead, 21-32.

Leicester would host a big comeback in the 2nd quarter, mostly on the back of Lysithea:

Marianne would also assist, putting in 14 points and 5 rebounds in a big 2nd quarter.

Leicester would get within 2 points at halftime, trailing 51-53. But still, Dimitri didn’t respect the Golden Deer.

Straight up disrespectful.

I would like to say this encouraged Leicester but it seems like the opposite occurred.

Yes, it was finally Fraldarius time.

Leonie would put in another 12 points in this quarter, however, starting with this huge 3:

But then, disaster would strike:

Sylvain would turn the ball over, but hustle, steal the ball back, and get the easy transition dunk.

Lysithea would respond with perhaps the best looking 3 I’ve seen yet:

But Dimitri was determined to make everyone have a bad day. This time he posterized Hilda, who was already having a subpar performance.

Down 8, and with little to lose, Leonie decided to launch it towards Ignatz:

Fhirdiad leads, 80-86.

The fourth quarter would start with another Felix 3, and things threatened to unravel for the Golden Deer early.

And Hilda’s bad day got even worse, twinging her left knee after an impact with Hapi.

But Leicester would push to within 1 on the back of Leonie and Marianne:

But at the end, Sylvain would put in the dagger, just like he did earlier in the game:

Fhirdiad control Leicester, winning 109-113.
