The Scions of the Seventh Dawn



Louisoix Leveilleur - Former head of the Circle of Knowing, the organization that birthed the Scions. He was present at Carteneau when Bahamut broke free. He tried to contain Bahamut and failed. Disappeared immediately after and is assumed to have been killed in the Calamity.



Ginger Pepper - The woman around which this world seems to revolve. A humble lalafell who showed up in Ul'dah one day and set out to punch things as hard as she possibly could. It didn't take long before she was hired to punch the world's problems away.



Brendori Tayuun - In situations where Ginger is unable to show something off for whatever reason, Bren steps in. Something of a fashionista, she has a thousand different outfits. If she shows up, expect her to be looking fabulous.



Thancred Waters - Mysterious man that kept running into Ginger during her early adventures in Ul'dah. Eventually he introduced himself and personally invited the young adventurer to be a member of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.



Tataru Taru - Clerk for the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. She also serves as secretary and gofer and a million other things. She's always busy, but is polite enough to say hello to Ginger whenever she passes by.



Minfilia Warde - Current head of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. She sure is a character in this game. Is hated by most players because P R A Y R E T U R N T O T H E W A K I N G S A N D S.



Y'shtola Rhul - Sharlayan scholar and mascot character for Final Fantasy XIV. This means that she has permanent plot armor because she's the character that appears in crossover games.



Urianger Augurelt - Sir-Not-Appearing-In-This-Game part 2. He was a shy kid so he spent most of his time alone in Sharlayan reading stories. This led to him permanently speaking with an archaic english accent... lots of thees, thous, and thines.



Papalymo Totolymo - The "smart one" of the group. He's paired with Yda because the two of them are practically joined at the hip.

Yda Hext - Ala Mhigan refugee turned Sharlayan "scholar." She's really good at punching things and avoiding work. She's the designated "dumb muscle" of the Scions. Is never seen without Papalymo!



Cid nan Garlond - Fled the Empire when he was just a kid, he's possibly the single greatest engineer in Eorzea, if not the whole world. Disappeared for 5 years following the calamity, and eventually resurfaced with amnesia going by the name Marques.



Biggs & Wedge - They have a habit of getting captured by the empire. They're searching for Cid and have joined forces with the Scions until he can be found.



Alphinaud Leveilleur - Grandson of Louisoix. He and his sister came to Eorzea with Ginger, and then wandered off. Eventually tracks Ginger down after the attack on the Waking Sands and joins her quest to slay the primals.



Alisaie Leveilleur - Granddaughter of Louisoix. She's also here.



Noraxia - A goodwill ambassador from the sylphs. Eventually dies while trying to protect Minfilia during the Waking Sands attack.



A'aba Tia - Gruff miqo'te who befriends Ginger after she joins the Scions. Spends most of his time hanging out with Aulie and Arenvald.

Aulie - Elezen woman who befriended Ginger after joining the Scions. Views Arenvald as a little brother and is protective of him because of it.

Arenvald - Half-Garlean, half-Ala Mhigan, like Ginger he too has the gift of the Echo. A'aba Tia and Aulie are planning on giving him a nice suit of armor as a present for getting his first assignment from Minfilia.



Una Tayuun - Sweet miqo'te who claims to have been a member of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn before the Calamity. Her memory isn't very good, but she tries anyway. Dies during the Waking Sands attack.

Percevains - Another old school member of the Scions. Claims to know Una Tayuun. Also dies when Livia invades the Waking Sands.



Satzfloh - A third member of Una's squad of old school Scions. Dies with his friends during the attack.



Haribehrt - An ex member of the Ala Mhigan resistance, now he works for the Scions. Dies during the Waking Sands attack.



Clive - Envoy from the Students of Baldesion. Kind of a dick, but he eases up eventually. Then he dies in the Waking Sands attack. Welp.

Ul'dah Characters



Momodi Modi - The owner and proprietor of the Quicksand tavern in Ul'dah. She was Ginger's first contact in the city and got her signed up for the Adventurer's Guild. While she puts on a tough exterior, it's obvious she cares about the adventurers that work for her!



Papashan - Stationmaster for a small rail depot outside of Ul'dah. He's also a former member of the Sultansworn and is the personal bodyguard of the Sultana when she goes out among her people in disguise.



Fufulupa - Against all odds, a non-corrupt Brass Blade. Bursts into tears at the drop of a hat, but has a good head on his shoulders.



Nanamo ul Nano - Sultana of Ul'dah. Ginger first met her when she was praying beneath the Sultantree to find her lost crown. After the adventurer protected her, the young sultana took a liking to her pretty quickly.



Raubahn Aldynn - Member of Ul'dah's syndicate and General of the Immortal Flames grand company. Former prizefighter in the Bloodsands, but won a fortune in a title match and bought his freedom.



Lolorito Nanarito - Mysterious member of the Syndicate. He's one of the richest men in the world and owns the Brass Blades. He really doesn't like it when people cost him money, especially if those people are using his name to advance their personal agendas.



Godbert Manderville - A very powerful man who owns and operates the Manderville Gold saucer. He usually works half naked because he cannot be stopped. Permanent member of the Syndicate. Seems fond of Ginger for some reason or another.



The Immortal Flames - The Ul'dahn military.



Swift - Commander of the Immortal Flames. He's Ginger's commanding officer and also her contact if she needs to deal with the Flames on official Scion business.



Iliud - A kindly priest that serves as the head of the chapel near the lichyard. He's a friend of the Scions and takes Ginger in after the Waking Sands attack.

Limsa Lominsa Characters



Merlwyb Bloefhiswyn - Head of the Maelstrom grand company and Admiral of Limsa Lominsa. She's a former pirate and has outlawed piracy in the Thalassocracy.



Baderon - Momodi's equivalent in Limsa Lominsa. His tavern is a popular meeting spot for all sorts of people!



Master Gegeruju - The insanely wealthy owner of Costa del Sol. He has a fetish for female miqo'te wearing swimsuits. For some reason has a standing order from the Leatherworkers' guild for leather BDSM collars.



Bloody Executioners - They're pirates and proud of it, and most of them don't like that Merlwyb outlawed piracy. Ambitious lieutenants are often trying to do something about that.



The Maelstrom - The Limsan military.



R'ashaht Rhiki - Commander of the Maelstrom. She's Ginger's point of contact when she needs to work with them on missions.



The Yellowjackets - The Limsan police force. Unlike the Brass Blades, they do not appear to be corrupt. If anything they are a little too dedicated to their duty.

Gridania Characters



Kan-e-Senna - Head of the Order of the Twin Adder and Elder Seedseer of Gridania. She's one of like five legal white mages in the world. For some reason she really likes Ginger and from their first meeting has taken to calling her "my friend."



Mother Miounne - Momodi's counterpart in Gridania. She runs both the inn and adventurer's guild and can be very sweet while also being no-nonsense.



The Order of the Twin Adders - The Gridanian military.



Vorsaile - Commander of the Twin Adder. He's Ginger's point of contact for when she needs to work with them.

Ala Mhigan Resistance



Gundobald - Head of the Ala Mhigan resistance in Eorzea. He's also the leader of the Little Ala Mhigo settlement.



Wilred - Hot-blooded leader of the Ala Mhigan youths in Little Ala Mhigo. Easily swayed by words he wants to hear. Tried to kill Ginger, but he didn't actually mean it.



Meffrid - The leader of the resistance branch in the South Shroud. Trying to take care of his people despite the snide indifference of the Gridanians.



Gallien - He's the guy on the right. Deliriously sick and feverish, he tried to commit suicide by forest in order to get his friends to leave him behind.

Ishgardian Characters



Francel de Haillenarte - A young nobleman accused of being a heretic by Guillaime. He claims that he's innocent!



Haurchefant Greystone - Noble son of the Ishgardian house Fortemps. He takes an immediate liking to Ginger and promises to help her find the Enterprise.

Fellow Adventurers



Brendt, Brennan, Bremondt - A set of identical triplets, all of whom are merchants. Ginger shared a caravan with Brendt on her way into Ul'dah! All three brothers have been seen at various times in the Waking Sands, all looking for each other.



Wandering Minstrel - Always eager to hear tales of Ginger's exploits. He has a way of exaggerating things to make them sound harder and more epic than they actually were.



Jandelaine - Traveling barber. Has a very long waiting list to be one of his clients! Constantly damages or destroys his tools, much to the frustration of those around him that have to replace them.



Edda Pureheart - A teenager who wanted to go out adventuring with her fiance. In their very first outing, she messed up with the group's money and so everyone started yelling at her. Is not very good at anything she does, but tries anyway.



Avere - Edda's fiance and childhood sweetheart. He was the tank for the doomed group and decided the best way to tank the Tam-Tara Deepcroft was to run out of line of sight of his healer. Apparently he idolized Ginger and wanted to be just like her.



Liavinne - An archer who adventured with Edda. She heaped abuse on the poor novice conjurer and called her creepy for not wanting to let go of her fiance after he was killed. She eventually joined the Scions of the Seventh Dawn and tried to make up for her past mistakes.

Peiyo Reiyo - A thaumaturge who adventured with Edda. He wasn't very nice to her and was not sad to see the group split apart.



Alianne and Isildaure - A grandfather and his granddaughter out adventuring together. Ginger kept running into them near some dungeons, but eventually they stopped after Isildaure very nearly died in the process!



Kikina, E'manafa, and Dolorous Bear - A group of adventurers who formed a friendly rivalry with Ginger after she beat them to the bounty being offered for clearing out the Sastasha Seagrot. They all died in the Copperbell Mines trying to beat Ginger to the punch.

The Company of Heroes



Trachtoum - Not actually a member of the Company of Heroes, but just claims he is so he can get the benefits. He lies to everyone he meets.



Wheiskaet - Former member of the Company of Heroes and current head of security at Costa del Sol. The true villain of the Titan Arc because he deliberately goes out of his way to waste Ginger's time with bullshit quests.



Landenel - Former member of the Company of Heroes. He thinks he's hot shit, but he's stuck being a guard in the middle of a shitty swamp. Tries to dissuade Ginger from fighting Titan by mildly suggesting that she might get hurt. Absolutely terrible at his job.

U'odh Nuhn - Head of the U' tribe of miqo'te in South Thanalan. For some reason his tribe believes it's a sign of personal weakness to receive assistance from a stranger.



Shamani Lohmani - Was blinded in a battle against Titan. He now lives and works as a vintner in Wineport. The least dickish member of the Company of Heroes.

Brayflox Alltalks - She's a goblin that somehow became a member of the Company of Heroes. She is now in charge of a Longstop where she makes cheese.



Riol - Mysterious man who appears to be way into his spycraft. He refused to meet with Ginger and Y'shtola until they whistled at three specific spots in a hotsprings.

Beast Tribes



The Amalj'aa - Worshippers of Ifrit. They are extremely aggressive and often raid caravans for both crystals and prisoners. All their prisoners are tempered by their God.



The Brotherhood of Ash - They are a tribe of "good" Amalj'aa. They don't believe their tribe should worship Ifrit and seek to put an end to their tempered bretheren.



Hamujj Gah - Leader of the Brotherhood of Ash. He respects Ginger not only as a warrior, but also one who has stood before Ifrit and lived to tell the tale.



Loonh Gah - A miqo'te who believes she is an amalj'aa in her soul. She does not like Ginger at all and keeps theatening to kill her. Lives and trains with the Brotherhood of Ash.



Sylphs - Plant-people. They worship the primal Ramuh, but aren't very aggressive about it. Tempered sylphs turn a pretty nasty shade of purple, but even they want to be left well alone.



Frixio - The current elder of the friendly Sylphs.



Qiqirn - Cute little rat-folk. They have a funny way of talking and non-aggressive ones are often found as traders. They don't worship any known primals.



Goblins - Gobbies speakytalk in much strange fashion. They're extremely cunning and intelligent, are found all over Eorzea, and can be extremely aggressive. They aren't known to worship any primals.



Kobolds - Small, hyper industrious rat creatures. They live underground near an active volcano and want to be left alone. The Limsans refuse to leave them alone, which forces them to summon their god Titan for protection.



Ixal - Birdlike worshippers of Garuda. They're extremely aggressive and are willing to fight both Gridania and Ishgard at the same time in order to ensure their god is rebirthed over and over.

Thaumaturge Class Characters



Cocobuki - Head of the Thaumaturge's guild. Kind of an asshole who is willing to throw anyone nearby under the bus when he's trying to save face.



Cocobani, Cocobezi, Cocoboha, Cocobygo - Four of Cocobuki's brothers. They train new admittants to the Thaumaturge's guild.



Cocobusi - The last Coco brother. He desperately wants to be a thaumaturge, but his aether is so weak that if he cast a single spell, then he would die instantly.



Mormo - A powerful voidsent who possesses Cocobusi and uses his body to commit vicious murders. She has a HABIT of putting STRESS on certain WORDS when she SPEAKS.

Pugilist Class Characters



Hamon Holyfist - Former award-winning prizefighter in the Bloodsands and current head of the Pugilist's guild. Would much rather be burying his face "in a scantily clad maiden's bosom."



Chuchuto - Former student of Hamon Holyfist, and current head of training for newbie pugilists at the guild. Was adopted alongside Rurukuta, and didn't understand why her friend and adopted brother would leave so suddenly.



Rurukuta - Former student of Hamon Holyfist. Was actually adopted by the old fighter and raised as one of his own. Saw his master lose a fight to a nutkin and decided rather than help him, he would rather despair and go talking quite loudly about how weak Hamon is.

Lancer Class Characters



Ywain - Master of the Lancers guild. He tries to teach his students the true meaning of courage, but finds himself stymied at every turn by Foulques.



Foulques - Duskwight who got kicked out of the Lancers guild because he stole from the coffers. He's convinced himself that suicidal recklessness is the only true form of bravery.



Buscarron - Former professional lancer. He retired and used his savings to buy a tavern in the South Shroud called the Druthers. His property is a no-fight zone and the various gangs and poacher clans in the Shroud are willing to help if he simply asks.

Rogue Class Characters



Lonwoerd - Doorman for the Sisters of the Dutiful Edelweiss. He scouts out talent for the guild and keeps the riffraff out.



Jacke - Master of the rogues guild. You usually can't understand a damn word he says because he constantly talks in thieves cant.



Perimu "Underfoot" Haurimu - Ginger's partner on most missions for the rogues guild. He's called Underfoot because he's a lalafell.



V'kebbe the Stray - The best infiltrator in the rogues guild. She loves egg sandwiches and will murder a man for stealing her food.



Milala - "Villain" of the rogue arc. She's an officer in the Yellowjackets who is insistent that the age of piracy is over and that all its relics--including the rogues--should be exterminated.



Black Market Guy - Sells information and other items to the highest bidder. Gets murdered by a splinter faction of the Bloody Executioners for daring to cross them.

Marauder Class Characters



Wyrnzoen - Master of the marauder guild. He teaches eager students how to properly wield an axe and stand like a stone. He's a terrible actor, but his heart is in the right place.



Broenbhar - The guy on the left. One of the marauders in charge of Ginger's education. He takes a shine to the young warrior and goes out of his way to help her every chance he can!



Solkwyb - Wyrnzoen's sister. She's a conjurer by trade and babysits novice marauders on dangerous missions to ensure they don't die.



Sighard - A kid whose parents were killed by the rampaging beast Kujata. Has guts and determination, but he can't possibly stand up to the Mountain all by himself.



Neddard - Sighard's grandfather. His grandson is all that he has left in the world after he lost the rest of his family in the Calamity.

Conjurer Class Characters



E-Sumi-Yan - Master of the conjurers guild. He's a padjal, a white mage who in addition to teaching young adventurers how to heal, also listens to and interprets the will of the Elementals of the Twelveswood.



Sylphie - Headstrong conjurer-in-training. She lost her mother at a young age and believes that she should be able to just heal without conjuring the other elements. Implied to have the potential to also be a Hearer with proper training.

Dragoon Job Characters



Alberic - Former Azure Dragoon of Ishgard. He suffered a nasty wound while trying to stop the elder wyrm Nidhogg and had to lay down his spear. Now he trains the next generation of dragoons, Ginger included.



Estinien - The current Azure Dragoon of Ishgard. He was chosen by a magical artifact to be the strongest and most capable of dragoons. He stole the artifact and ran off for no adequately explained reason.

Monk Job Characters



Erik - Smarter than you and is very keen to tell you about it. He's a brilliant historian and is eager to lecture about his favorite subject at the drop of a hat. He also really likes insulting people he thinks he's better than. Ala Mhigan refugee.



Widargelt - A monk hired by Erik to keep him safe while he travels the land conducting research. He's a bit flaky, but he seems to mean well. Like Erik, he's also an Ala Mhigan refugee. Currently training Ginger in how to be a proper monk.

Ninja Job Characters



Tsubame - Kunoichi serving underneath Oboro.



Oboro Torioi - Head of the Eorzean branch of the shinobi. He was sent here to track down and kill Karasu. Currently instructing Ginger in the art of ninjutsu.



Karasu Redbeak - Former classmate and neighbor of Oboro, he sold out his home village to the Imperials during their invasion of Doma. He now works as one of the head Imperial spies. Currently in Eorzea for unknown reasons.

Warrior Job Characters



Curious Gorge - Is in Eorzea in search of his brother, who can hopefully tell him how to read the texts that describe how to be a Warrior. Is teaching Ginger how to be a Warrior despite not knowing himself. Former member of the Company of Heroes.

White Mage Job Characters



Raya-O-Senna - Younger sister of Kan-E-Senna. She doesn't get along with her brother, A-Ruhn-Senna, very well and often butts heads with him. She's currently teaching Ginger how to use white magic.



A-Ruhn-Senna - Younger brother of Kan-E-Senna. He's very much a traditionalist and believes that he shouldn't have to accept new concepts by virtue of la-la-la-can't-hear-you. Has a dorky bowl cut. Future Redditor.

Black Mage Job Characters



Ququruka - A criminal who was banished to the deepest, darkest pits of Ul'dah's prisons for eternity. He knows a lot about black magic and is insistent that Ginger learn it as well.



Lalai - Ququruka's first student. In the strictest sense, she's Ginger's black magic mentor but she doesn't do a lot of teaching and seems to think Ginger has to earn her attention.



Kazagg Chah - A friendly amalj'aa who befriends Ginger on her journey to learn black magic. He's the leader of the group of beastmen who hang out near the East Thanalan waterfall.



Dozol Meloc - A friendly ixal who is also learned in the ways of black magic. He's a bit high-strung but he's a good guy regardless.



Da Za - A friendly kobold who is the last member of the four beastmen who befriend Ginger on her journey to learn black magic. Like the other two, he is also an accomplished black mage.

Garleans



Gaius van Baelsar - Imperial General and head of the XIVth Imperial Legion. He came to Eorzea to conquer! Very obviously the main villain. Fascism apologist.



Nero tol Scaeva - Gaius's second in command and genius magitek engineer. Seems obsessed with getting "readings" on the various Primals of Eorzea.



Rhitahtyn sas Arvina - Non-Garlean soldier in the army. He has a bafflingly high rank for a non-native. Sir-Not-Appearing-In-This-Game.



Livia sas Junias - Sadistic, cruel, and completely obsessed with Gaius to an extremely unhealthy degree. She's of lower rank than Nero, but bosses him around because it's easier to listen to her than deal with her.



Ultima Weapon - Gaius's secret weapon against both the Primal threat and Eorzea in general. It can defeat any known Primal in a single blow and then absorb its essence to make itself even stronger.

Ascians



Lahabrea - Mysterious masked man who teleports around and seems intent on stopping Ginger from doing her job. Looks like an Organization XIII reject.



Nameless Jobber Ascians - They have no name and they're just random idiots sent to gauge Ginger's strength.

Random Assholes



The Brass Blades - The incredibly corrupt police force of Ul'dah. If they want money from you, they will pull you over for a random search, plant illegal drugs in your goods, and then shake you down for money. Owned by Lord Lolorito.



Ungust - A corrupt merchant who tried to falsely accuse a woman of theft so he could force her to sleep with him. Seriously. He later admitted to selling Immortal Flames patrol routes to the amalj'aa so he could make a quick buck. He was tempered by Ifrit and was eventually killed to prevent the Lord of Inferno from growing stronger.



Laurentius - A Wood Wailer who betrayed Gridania for Imperial coin. That's it. He was just greedy. Ginger beat the stupid out of him and he turned himself in.



Guillaime - Papal inquisitor who for some reason is following Ginger around and doing his level best to prevent her from finding the lost airship the Enterprise.

Gods



Hydaelyn - The mother crystal. Showed Ginger a bunch of fire once and keeps telling her to "Hear, Feel, Think..."



Bahamut - The herald of the Calamity and the Seventh Umbral Era. Destroyed much of Eorzea and killed countless people in the process. Vanished shortly after breaking free.



Ifrit - Lord of the Inferno and patron primal of the amalj'aa. Ginger puts him down after he tries and fails to brainwash her.



Titan - The Lord of Crags and patron deity of the kobolds. Ginger is forced to put him down after the Limsans break their treaty with the kobolds and the latter group resorts to summoning their god in desperation.



Garuda - The Lady of the Vortex is incredibly dangerous. She's easily the strongest and most cunning of the known Primals, and like Ifrit she uses Tempering as a weapon. She's aggressive beyond belief and is only eventually stopped by Ultima Weapon absorbing her essence.



Naoki Yoshida - He's the man in charge of the game! The actual game director. He turned this game around and made it into what it is today. The most powerful of all gods in-game, even more powerful than Godbert.
