I forgot to record myself on a couple of the streams so it’s back to messy screencaps as I had to use the stream video.

Rafa has Beowulf’s skillset plus a few summons, so she’d make a good candidate for the B team if I bother leveling her.

Malak, meanwhile, is pretty much useless.

Seeing Calculators at Doguola worried me a bit but they didn’t have very powerful spells to cast at me but I had the full command of Mathable magic at my fingertips.

Duguola also happened to spawn with a guest Lancer that gets dropped into my lap at the end of the battle; I grab him for the stuff but I don’t keep him.

Meliadoul spawned in the lower right corner of Bervenia and had two Delitas to help her; fortunately, these Delitas came with innate Critical and spent the majority of the battle running away, so I could focus fire on Meliadoul.

In addition to the usual Red and Yellow Chocobos, Finath River could also spawn creatures from the Behemoth family, but it was ironically the former that gave me the most trouble and I had to replay this map several times.

In Zeltennia, Zalmo still spawned with Innate Stop and his starting position made it super easy to put him into the dirt.

Balk doesn’t give me any trouble at Bed Desert.

I pick the North Wall, and it doesn’t have any unpleasant surprises.

There’s something oddly appropriate about all of the generics in this cutscene having been randomized into Delitas.

The Sluice didn’t give me trouble; thank goodness the Chemists had innate Don’t Act.

Despite the truncated learn list, Orlandu proved to be good enough to earn a permanent spot on the roster by the time I hit Limberry.

I recruit some monsters in Zarghidas and eventually murder most of them for their drops.

Germinas Peak and Poeskas Lake somehow got skipped over in the recordings that I have on file; from what I remember, the former gave me a bit of trouble but the latter was a complete non-issue.

Poking my head into Limberry, it turned out I was super not ready to tackle the surprises within, so I went ahead and finished all of the sidequests available to me except for Deep Dungeon.

Goland Underground 3F spawned with Monks that proved to be a complete nonissue.

2F had a handful of Delitas, a Black Chocobo, and a Mindflayer. I am careful to focus fire on one Delita at a time so they don’t overwhelm me.

1F featured Chocobos of all colors. There are a few close calls but nothing too serious.

The basement took several retries as two of the three Vormavs on the screen made life hell for Reis before I could get to them and take them out.

I get a free Vormav after this, but he doesn’t have anything interesting so I give him the pink slip.

Beowulf unfortunately can’t be JP scrolled but I don’t mind keeping him around.

I take this Worker 8 as it saves me some grinding on Boco and I could try sending out two robots at some point.

Nelveska Temple also takes me a few tries before the Math lines up correctly to take out the enemy Worker 8s (who fortunately don’t have Innocent) and Ultima Demons so they don’t swarm me.

Reis more or less ended up with Ramza’s Chapter 4 skillset so she’s another B team potential.

Limberry outside wasn’t too much of an issue.

Limberry inside, however, was. Elmdor and company are a whopping average of level 43 when our party is only in the high 20s/low 30s.

Worse, Zalera (~1300 HP) had Non-charge, could punch twice in melee, and came with three Elmdors and two Rofels. I was only able to overcome this with three Calculators in MA boosted gear and MA up in their Support slot and it took me somewhere around 45 minutes to sandbag my way to victory; at least Meliadoul managed to pull her weight (except on the occasions where she killed an enemy unit I’d rather her have left in Critical).

She wasn’t good enough to be in my party, though, as I needed far more firepower.

Dycedarg made the mistake of having innate Undead minions, making it a breeze to carve through his ranks.

Adramelk had around ~1500 HP and was far easier compared to Zalera.

Cloud came with Secret Clothes, so he just hid in the corner while I dealt with everything.

Cloud ended up with Mustadio’s skillset plus Lightning Stab. I’m not grinding him up from level one just for that.

Murond outside had two squads, one near the front of the building and another on the roof, while the party spawned in the corner. I solve the fight with Math Skill.

I put Ramza into the speediest build available that still allows him to act on his turn and one-shot Kletian.

Orlandu trivialized the Ultima Demons, leaving Ramza to deal with Zalbag.

Orbonne Underground 4F is cleared via liberal application of Math Skill.

Math Skill also renders Rofel a non-issue.

Ditto Kletian, though Speed Ramza also pitched in.

Balk takes a little longer, but not by much; even having a generic with Kletian’s class wasn’t enough to help.

Hashmalum had around ~1300 HP, and after bouncing off Altima once I decided to end the stream for the day.

I will stream Deep Dungeon and the Altima eventually, but that’s it for the screenshot LP. Difficulty 1.0 of the new randomizer is a bit steep for my taste; even at low chaos, this often results in enemy stats (especially speed) ramping faster than I can level, which definitely becomes an issue by the late game. If I ever play the randomizer for myself, I will experiment with the finer grain settings until I find something I have fun completing.
