GET YOUR WARES AT

C O M P U T E R S H O P

Computershop has an amazingly early 90's design.

We'll start with what's for sale, then cover the descriptions of unique items in our inventory.

Health Oil - 100c

"This oil recharges a Gijin's physical strength."

We can hold up to 5 bottles of this at a time, each one restoring a pretty hefty chunk of Josette's HP. Unlisted is that these will also help to increase her max HP by a bit.

Gijin, being robots, drink oil after all.

Mind Oil - 100c

"This oil recharges a Gijin's willpower."

Same as the above, but for HP.

Stuffed Cat - c

"An adorable stuffed cat. Do you lack kindness? Then this might be ideal for you!"

It's a plush cat, what more is there to say?

If we do buy this, is it cute? Yes or No?

Pickaxe - 500c

"The joys of manual labor! You'll be able to work in the mine with this splendid pickaxe."

If we want Josette to go digging around in dank caverns, we'll probably want this.

Tray - 300c

"A tray made from Proton Crystals. It's a delight to carry dishes with it!"

Josette might be able to get into waitressing at some point, or just use this to practice balance.

Dumbbell - 500c

"Do you want to be strong? Then buy this! Train and you may become a chain-breaker!"

GET PUMPED, FEEL THE BURN, TOO SWOLE TO CONTROOOOL

If the shading looks weird, that's because these metal models are intended to be making use of vertex shading, something that gets turned off when I remove the bilinear filtering.

This is what it'd look like without it.

Mop - 500c

"Dirty floors are very unpleasant... use this to make them clean and lustrous!"

This ship's pretty dirty, apparently. Maybe this could help?

Wrench - 500c

"An original Gante's Maintenance Shop wrench. Now you too can be the king of machines!"

If Josette plans on getting into mechanical repair, probably wouldn't hurt to have one of these. It's probably too big to fix herself with though.

The wrench's shading is really lost between filters:

Unfortunately, there's no nice in-between choice here.

Grammar Book - 500c

"There are many languages in the world. Learn the one from Blueland with this!"

Josette only knows how to read Gijin, which I guess is probably like Wingdings or something. Other books we buy are probably going to be in Bluelandian.

Everyone speaks a common language though. We don't have to worry about speaking to others.

Encyclopedia - 1000c

"Knowledge makes life more interesting. Become smarter by reading this book!"

Josette doesn't know much in general, so this may help her out.

Book of Planes - 1000c

"Recommended for those who love the skies. With this, you too can be an ace pilot!"

Want Josette to fly planes? It'd probably help her to know how in the first place.

Book of Ships - 1000c

"For those who love the sea. Become an accomplished fisherman with this!"

We do live in a submarine. Might help to know about them.

Mecha Manual - 1000c

"For those aspiring to master a submarine. You'll learn about the engine-panel here!"

Similarly, we could also try and put our submarine to use if Josette learns what all the dials and such are for.

Medical Book - 1000c

"The human body is full of mysteries. Get a better understanding of it with this book!"

If we don't want anyone to know that Josette is a Gijin, it may help her to know the details of being a human.

Treasure Box - 2000c

"How about practicing opening a box? One day you might need it. Oh, also, it's empty!"

We could invest in this if you want to see Josette, Master of Unlocking.

Cook Book - 500c

"To cook is to love! But foremost you need to put love into learning how to cook..."

It's not like Josette needs to eat, being a Gijin, but learning how to cook for others couldn't hurt.

Seasoning - 100c

"A key item if you want to learn what a 'taste' is. Learn by eating!"

Could be helpful if we wanted to cook stuff.

Frying Pan - 500c

"A frying pan made of proton crystals! It will not rust and your food will never burn!"

Wow, non-burning sounds pretty revolutionary. These proton crystals must be interesting things.

Flowers - 500c

"Do you suffer from stress? Well, then this flower bouquet may do you good!"

Might not hurt to have around.

Crystal - 50000c

"A mysterious crystal... will it bring forth your hidden skill of predicting the future?"

that price

Bad Book - 3000c

"To play is important in life! Learn several different games from this book!"

It'd probably be good if Josette had some ways to have fun. She's not got much going for her right now.

Cockroach - 1000c

"A perfect replica, for those who enjoy it..."

I had no idea cockroaches had giant googly eyes. Regardless, if we buy this, is it cute? Yes or No?

Pudding - 300c

"A pudding made from artificial milk. This will improve your mood immediately."

Josette may not need to eat, but that doesn't mean she can't. When it comes to clearing a bad mood, this will do it in a heartbeat.

Music Box - 1000c

"A calm lifestyle brings many benefits! Recommended for seekers of inner peace."

Could be useful, although it's a bit expensive.

Treasure Map - 3000c

"A map that could help you if you're looking for the 4 legendary Magiteka treasures."

Treasure hunting! An interesting way to make money, provided we don't go broke doing it.

What are the Magiteka? Well...

Magiteka Legend - 1000c

"A book about the ancient Magiteka Civilization. Revised second edition."

...we could buy this to find out.

Corlo Legend - 1000c

"This book tells the legend of Pino, the boy from Corlo Kingdom."

It's also a rough plot synopsis of some stuff from the first game.

Proton Crystal - 500c

"A Proton Crystal from the mines. It will stimulate the body when eaten!"

Sounds interesting. We could always try one out to see what does happen.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

And that's all for what's on sale. Included below are the descriptions of special items in our inventory:

Letter - NO SALE

"Oh? A letter... you better take good care of this sort of thing!"

Mechanically, Gepetto's letter has different effects on Josette's mood at different times in the game. It's not always easy to tell what effect though.

Corlo Nut - 5000c

"Ohhh! Th-this is a nut from the Corlo Tree! I-I'll pay you handsomely for this!"

Psh, 5000c is hardly a lot when that crystal ball costs 10x that. Besides, this can be infinitely used to make Josette a little bit less sad.

Green Dress - NO SALE

"A green dress... with this size and color it wouldn't sell well..."

We also have blue and red versions of the same dress. They don't do anything mechanically, it's just if you want Josette to wear a different color than her usual white.

I'll default to white most of the time, but I may randomly pick one out for a change of pace.

If you want to see a specific color, then go ahead and say so.
